UNM at Cincinnati info Lots of conflicting factors in the UNM/Cincinnati hoops game tonight:
Cincy's D is ferocious and New Mexico had some serious travel issues that turned yesterday into a marathon for them. Instead of ABQ to Denver to Dayton followed by a bus rid into Cincy, weather turned it into an even worse trip. ABQ to Denver to Chicago, to Louisville followed by multi-hour bus trip through snowstorm to arrive late at night without a planned evening practice. But UNM lost to South Dakota State in their last pre-Christmas game and even though they've practiced only once since then, you would expect some focus here. Other issue here is that the Bearcats bowl game in Charlotte will be in the 3rd quarter when this tips off. Will Cincinnati, who has suffered from spotty attendance this year, not have the kind of crowd that they figured they would, with fans away at the bowl game or watching it on TV?
Often tough to determine how teams come out of the Christmas break and I decided to pass this one with all the extraneous factors, but just wanted to pass the info along.
