What a great night!!!
2-1 on the game (Not great but not bad...)
My 7 year old son and I start out by sitting midcourt 15-20 rows up...me in my Warrior track jacket and my son decked out in all his Dirk gear.
3 minutes before halftime we beat the crowd to the rest rooms and on our way back to our seats a guy and his wife catch us in the commons area and tell us they are leaving and give us their seats which were on the 1st row behind the Mavericks bench.
Then one of my wife's high school friends sees us and she happens to work for the Mavericks and gives us after game passes where my boy gets to go on the court and get pictures taken.
Then she brings out Dampier (who I wanted to kick in the ass for not playing) and he gives some autographs and takes some pics with my boy and some other kids.
It looked we were gonna pull the sweep as the 1st Q and 1st H went pretty much as I predicted.
Dirk getting hurt midway through 3Q kinda hurt us but by that time the Dubs had really gotten into a flow.
Monta Ellis is just a pure beast. Sitting on the 1st row was a great judge to see how he has a gear that noone else on the court has.
The guy is not well known just yet and he got totally snubbed for the AllStar reserves....I have a feeling in a few years this guy will be talked about in elite player conversations.
His 46 points tonight were the difference in the Warriors getting blown out and staying with 9 at the games final.
The Mavs need to make a move by the deadline. Josh Howard is horrible now....plays terrible defense, takes bad shots, and makes the laziest passes you will ever see. His body language is poor as well. Kidd can't defend anyone and Terry can't stay with guards his same size or smaller either.
If they stand pat I will be playing against them in several situations post all star break.
