What ever happenend to cbb guru Alan Boston??
What is trash talk at the hard rock, explain???
2/5 NL HE; $10 mandatory button straddle (which can be more if one chooses. Trash talk is encouraged. Slow rolling is encouraged. Winning a hand with 2,7 wins $10 from every other players. It's quite a wild game.
I may have to swing by in January....... I've played it. I like it.
his best days might be behind him and i think his poker advice is unique. however, when he was king there was nobody better at what he did. of course cbb was easier to beat for numerous reasons but he still shined more than everyone. there's a lot to be said about independent thinking and how he proceses information. there is still some genius there, it's just mixed with a lot of other shit.

seems last year was his second last year of retiring, yet his rambling with Jon of Oakland make pretty funny offerings.
Boston in his hay day was very strong - seen a credit account of his in costa rica a few years ago - ran it up large ...during march madness...it got quite scary for the book...this guy could really mail it in when he was in the zone... mustard Times change and so do people - his feel for the game might have gone due to other shit he gets up to......
He attacked a sport that was easy to beat.......nothing more I give him credit for being in the right place at the right time. Having said that, I think he just got lucky to have built up a game in what was a very easy to beat sport. He can ramble all he wants about how he used to be 'in the zone' and how good he was. The truth is that he played against God Awful weak lines and he wasn't the only one crushing them....... To his credit he WAS crushing them......as were others.......while donkeys like me missed the off the charts opportunity. But he has never impressed me with his betting acument. He (like many in this indrusty with some talent) suffer greatly from a complete inability to listen. Good luck trying to teach him to raise his game.......it won't happen. And he seems to have a complete lack of knowledge of how to buckle down, work his ass off, bet lower on monster edges to get out of a slump. If I was funding someone, and he wasn't 100% focused and looking to raise his edge, I would be PISSED OFF.
boston I guess he still is betting college basketball big??? He was knowledable, but probably bet too many games. He admited that he likes lots of games on the conference calls. He defitely, know his college hoop coaches. I have to argue with him on Rick Pitino. Boston thought he was a bad college coach. Completely, disagree. Sure Pitino has a huge ego, but he took three college programs to the Final Four. Plus, several elite eights. The man can coach basketball, and now on the backend of his college basketball coaching career. He won the war with his powerball type salaries.
