Wis--Leuer

Wis--Leuer Wis junior forward John Leuer will have surgery on his left wrist on Tues and be out of the Badger line-up for 6-8 weeks (unconfirmed time est)
This is most assuredly an impact injury. I'm cutting and pasting some stuff I've read today: Leuer has started all 16 games and has been the Badgers second-leading scorer, averaging 15.4 points along with a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game. “Is it going to be easy? No. Are we going to whine about it? No, that’s not allowed,” Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said on the Big Ten weekly teleconference. But Ryan, who has led the Badgers to eight straight NCAA tournament appearances in his first eight seasons, had no information about a timetable for Leuer’s return. “I was an economics major and I really would have a tough time giving you anything. I wouldn’t have a clue. Again, they don’t tell us anything other than what you saw (in the release),” Ryan said. “That’s all the information I get and it’s been that way for nine years, ever since I’ve been here.” Leuer’s departure will change the starting lineup for the first time this season when Wisconsin plays at Northwestern on Wednesday followed by a trip to Ohio State on Saturday. The undersized Badgers have two 6-10 freshmen, Jared Berggren and Mike Bruesewitz. They also could start another guard like Taylor, Ryan Evans or Rob Wilson.
Chicken Salad Their best player, by far. One of the best in the conference. That being said, nobody's better at turning chicken shit into chicken salad than Bo Ryan. It'll probably take a few games, though.
Kevin, In that case remind me to never go to dinner at Bo Ryan's house. LOL

This year for instance, with the graduation of Krabbenhoft and Landry everyone expected the Badgers to be way down. I think the highest I saw them picked in the Big 10 was 7th and most predictions had them in 8th or 9th. Every year they are under rated and under talented but Ryan continues to win at fantastic rate. Over the 9 years he's been here Over 70% in the Big 10, 5 home court Big 10 losses, and a 130-10 overall home record. Although he's seldom mentioned as such, on a national scope he should be considered one of the best coaches in the country
