WNBA All Star Game total This number was opened at 205 and has leaped to a bit more than 211 now at Pinnacle. I got a tweet last night from Fez that he was going to release an over and I have to wonder if this was supposed to be it but perhaps it has gotten away. Fez likes these all star games over so I feel like a complete idiot that I didn't just bet this in front of him.
The history of the game only has a few games over this total but they seem to be in the East/West format and this is in that format. Out of the last four games in this format, two of them have gone over these numbers. The last one came to 248.
I did see a piece in the news where the coach of the west joked that he spoke to a coach of the east and they said their goal is to break the scoring record for this game. Well, that leaves a lot of room to bet this over if that comment can be even taken half seriously. I read a paragraph or two of the summaries of these games and they do seem really loose for this including clearing lanes late in the games to perform dunks.
Of course if the game is close and the line is for an even game I don't think it can be that loose.
FWIW these games seem to be better bets for over in the second half than first half and the second and third quarters are bananas.
