Xavier-3 & UNDER 74 2H

Xavier-3 & UNDER 74 2H Xavier trails by 5 with Dayton hitting every single shot they throw up. Very similiar to Georgetown/Syracuse scenario the other day.... Ref's with 24 foul calls in 1H. They can't foul everyone out I don't think. Xavier tightens up defensively....Dayton hits a rut...and Xavier walks away with it.

Do you think either of these coaches looks at the number of fouls called and tells his players to play closer on defense? Surely, the officials, even if it is because some AD tells them, at halftime will realize they have to stop calling so many fouls, right? Am I thinking too logically for a college game?

At this rate the team trainers and managers will be playing decent minutes by the 5 minute mark. Atrocious to ruin a game like that. I HATE when I am at a game in person and it becomes a 2/3 possession max between FTs game. Boring as hell and I think some refs do it just so they don't have to run so much. I think they are out of shape and have to call fouls to keep their breath.

7 fouls now called in 2H thru 3:49. 31 fouls total called with 16:11 left in game. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this in any sport ever. They are on pace to foul out 11 players.

43 Fouls 6.5 minutes left in game!!!! Has anyone ever seen anything like this???

47 now with 5 minutes left!!! They are going to call enough to foul out 12 players by the end of the game!!!!

Does this qualify as bad beat? WE win the Xavier side and lose the UNDER when 21 points are scored in last 1:23 including a techinical foul with 33 seconds left and a meaningless 3 on the buzzer. By the way 54 total fouls called. Entire crew should be terminated on the spot.
