Advice on the weather for October

Hi everybody I have just joined LVA but have been reading the open forum for some time it has been very informative and read some great ideas for our trips to Vegas, me and my hubby have been holidaying in Vegas for 13 years, the only drawback is the 10hour flight from England.
We have found over the years how tight the slot machines are getting even off the strip but we still keep on coming back maybe 1 day we will hit the big 1 {but I am not holding my breath}.
Our next visit will be in October but first we are on a guided tour around the national parks for 15 days and then we could not leave the USA without our fix of LV so we have got an internal flight from LA to LV for 12days so we are saving all our pennies up.
Can anybody tell us what the weather will be like at the parks in October we will be visiting Bryce Canyon,Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Lake Powell,Scotsdale ?
The weather in October can be unpredictable to say the least. If you are in the parks early in October the weather should be beautiful for hiking and touring. The nights can get pretty cool. The same for Vegas. I would plan on some type of fleece type jacket to keep handy.

We will be in Vegas from Oct. 18 to the 29 and always plan on a fleece too. As you get further north, it could be cooler while you are visiting those parks.

Have fun and enjoy you trip.
Thanks for the advice we will be in Vegas for 12days in October when we finish our 15day guided tour round the parks.
We cannot do without our Vegas fix and when you have flown for 10 hours you want to make the most of it, a lot of people say to us what do you do in Vegas for that length of time, our last trip in April we went with my husbands brother and sister and because they had not been before we showed them around we took them to see 'O', Human Nature, & Matt Goss, also we ate in all of the new Gordon Ramsey restaurants and many more ,Sams Town,Silverton,Voodoo Lounge,Harrahs,Hash House.
We fancy seeing the new Michael Jackson show at Mandalay in October but are waiting to hear the reviews so will look out on the Board.
Our first visit to Vegas was on my big 40th birthday which was in 1998 [so long ago] and since then we are hooked.
In our local paper they announced that they were opening a new casino about 30mins away from us we thought great until we saw, they boasted there would be 32 slot machines !!!!!!! certainly not the same vibe as Vegas, we have nothing in England like Vegas and that's why we make the trip twice a year.
Thanks again
We go for 10 days in April and 12 in October every year. Our vice is the sports betting. Not sure where you are staying or if you have a favorite spot. We stay at Caesars and have a great host if you are interested, I can get you her name. She is great to us and we save a ton of money on rooms. We are not huge gamblers, just being a gold card at Caesars.

Let me know and maybe we will see you there in October.

Hi thanks for the offer we also have a great casino host at the Paris Hotel he always looks after us, and now we are retired we take advantage of the cheaper flights from England because we can go mid week.
We tend to play the slots my husband has started to play video poker as he say's his money lasts longer where as I just try few dollars in most of the machines that's why he can never find me !
Where in America do you live ? We live near Birmingham,England.
The weather here is very mixed 1 day sun the next day rain and high winds and this is our summer.
We do not know what we will be up to in LV in October but perhaps nearer the date we may be able to say where we will be and perhaps meet up.
We live in Wisconsin, which is in the Midwest USA. It is only a 3.5 hour trip for us so I feel for your 10 hour flight. Good to hear you have a great host. Without one, you can pay way too much for rooms.

Let me know when the trip gets closer and maybe we can meet up sometime. My email is [email protected]

Have a great summer. Headed to Reno / Lake Tahoe on the 12th for a quick get away.
Bryce, GC & Yosemite can get quite cold in the evening during Oct (snow is not unheard of). But they are beautiful that time of the year.
Vegas is very pleasant during the day, but may drop into the low 50's in the evening (high 40's the end of the month). Since you are from England, probably don't even need a coat!
Our fav months are May & Oct, but we still add in Jan & Jul, to get our quarterly visits. Got carried away this year and also added Mar & August.
We get alot of visitors from GB in Nashville, especially during the CMA Music Fest. Have fun on your park tour.
P.S. Never do Yellowstone after the 15th of Sept...we've had to run for the passes a couple of times to beat the snow. But it, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon are the top picks for us.
Thanks for the info we are looking forward to our trip round the parks, us Brits are used to the inclement weather, but I need to save room in my suitcase as we will be away for a total of 27days and you know what us girls are like for taking to many clothes. but I am sure I will find some extra room in my hubbie's suitcase.

October is my favorite time of the year warm in the day and cool at night, I use to live there. The spring is also great, another subject. My wife and parents will be there in October and would like to see someone from across the pond, so to speak. As for the weather 84 in the day and 54 at night and as stated above subject to change. OH! no rain if that helps.
If you want to have a drink with us just use this site/post and let us know. Please note there is a brew pub 777 at Main Street Station, down town LV. We like the place.
Have a great trip and be safe. qwedie1
We also like the weather in Las Vegas in April and October we have been visiting since 1998 and love that time of the year as us Brits are not used to the hot weather.
Since I have joined the site it is great to hear the inside info we just love America, and the people we have met on our visits have been lovely.
We will be in Las Vegas on 24th October to the 4th November so I am sure we will be able to fit in a meet during our visit we have also had a invite to meet up with another blogger [roseler] so perhaps closer to the date you could give us a time, place and date.
