I'm back

Started with LVA near the beginning in the 80's. When we finally retired to Vegas in early 2012 we decided we would not get the value out of keeping up our membership. After all everyday is now a trip report.

After 3 years we miss these boards and figure we can recoup the cost with the coupons.

2 biggest downsides are missing our grandkids and missing the thrill of landing at LAS. 2 biggest upsides are missing winter in Indiana and the friends we have made here.

Any questions on making the move?

Welcome back! Hoping to talk my wife into retiring to the desert also, but the grandkids may be a deal breaker until they get a little older....
Welcome back to the LVA Site!

The grandkids are the biggest downside of our move. Skype helps a lot. Also, flying them out is great. Lots of one on one personal time unlike the time when we were living close and they would be around but too busy texting etc or talking to friends to really communicate with us. They really enjoy the non-casino things Vegas has to offer .... Red Rock, Valley of Fire, Mt Charlston, Laughlin, Oatman etc. Went to Carlsbad beach last visit.

Nice to see you back on the msg boards!
