The difference between a Limo and a cab from the airport is that when you rent a Limo, you are paying for a full hour. If you would like to make some stops (CVS, Liquor Store, etc or even a ride down the strip to your destination), then a Limo would be your best bet. If you just want to get to your location, than a cab would be better, however, there are times at the airport when the cab line can be 45 min to an hour in which case a shuttle ($6-$7 per person) might suit your needs. If you would like a limo, you can book in advance, or just exit out the side of Baggage Pick up with the higher number doors (door 8 and up). There you will find Executive, Bell, CLS and AWG Limos on the curb. Average price from the airport for a stretch limo (six passenger) is $65 for the hour. If you do prefer to book a limo in advance, my advice would be to book it for 20-30 minutes after arrival. Your hour starts at pick-up time which is usually the time the flight lands, so you will waste half of your time getting to the luggage area and waiting for your luggage. This usually takes 20-30 minutes, so if you arrange for the driver to meet you at the luggage carousel 20-30 minutes after landing (limo companies track the flights so they know when they landed) then you will get the full hour.
P.S. Make sure you get the full price before entering the Limo. The price will include a $5 Airport fee and a current fuel charge of $5. Some Limo companies list the full price on their sign while others don't and just tell you at the end of the ride about the surcharges.
