At Las Vegas Club (that's the hotel's now [at least as of February 2011] official name) if you have any choice, ask for a North Tower room since these rooms are a bit better than South Tower rooms!

The folks telling you that the North tower rooms are slightly nicer than the south tower rooms are not making the case strongly enough. The only two south tower rooms we've seen or been in were the worst two hotel rooms I've ever been in in my entire lifetime. The first room was so smelly (not smoke, just stink), that we immediately called the desk and asked to be moved. They accomodated us but the next room carpet was so dirty, that we laid a path of towels from the bed to the bathroom so that our feet wouldn't touch the floor. The hotel wouldn't move us again, and we walked out on the remaining 4 days even though they were prepaid.

This place was once my favorite place to play blackjack, but those rules have changed a long time ago, and the south tower needs to be imploded. Now the LVC is just a place to walk through to keep cool on our way from Main St. Station to Fremont St.
