10/26 102 Boise St -38 ?? Anybody out there think Boise St. does not cover this? I am not one to ever lay this many points on anybody but I am really surprised that this line is not north of 40. Given both the public perception of Boise St and the record ATS this year I expected this line to come out bigger or at least get bet up. Boise St at home on national TV knowing they need to impress everybody, not to mention a defense that is near the top in every category and an offense that I still believe is #1 in Yards per Play.
I can see La Tech doing their best to control the ball with their RB who is coming of a good game and they do have an experienced QB who does not turn the ball over but they will need their defense to step up in order to keep this game from getting out of hand early. Can they stop Boise St enough times? I would say probably not.
I will probably pass on this game. Before the line was posted I would have told you that I would take La Tech plus the points expecting it to be in the 42 to 45 range. Maybe I am not giving La Tech enough credit. Can Boise St continue to get the convincing, dominating wins they need when they know that this will be the only way to have a slim shot at moving up in the rankings? More importantly do they continue to cover as huge favorites?
Any thoughts on this game are appreciated.
