10/6-8 College Football

10/6-8 College Football An atrocious 22-29-1 last week. Worst week of the season by far. 126-105-3 (54.5%) Season. 305/306 Nebraska/Kansas State UN 50' 306 Kansas State (+7) 1st H 306 Kansas State (+12) (-108) Game Kansas State's best and only shot here is to run, run, run and control the clock. Both teams off a bye week. 308 Rutgers (+6) RU QB Tom Savage may not play with hand injury. That could be a good thing right now b/c he has struggled. Rutgers off embarrassing home loss to Tulane and UConn got wins at home over two easy opp (Buffalo and Vandy) and now all of a sudden UConn is once again a beast in the Big East. I'm not buying it. There isn't really that much difference between these two clubs. Laying -6 on the road is way too high for a UConn team that's proven nothing. 310 UL Lafayette (+24) Game 310 UL Lafayette (+14) 1st Half Okie State's first road game. In between game with Texas A & M (Thurs night win) and at Texas Tech. Okie State has a terrible defense and laying this big # on the road is a sign for disaster. They may be undefeated and ranked, but they are not good. 313/314 Syracuse/South Florida UN 44 South Florida still struggling for off identity (only 291 yds against FAU LW). They were lucky to cover with a +3 TO edge. 315/316 Illinois/Penn State OV 41' Two defensive teams. Penn St's only scored 43 pts in 4 games vs. FBS teams. Time for an offensive explosion here. 317 Indiana (+22') Game 317 Indiana (+13) 1st H IU started 3-0 and had their usual opening loss in the Big 10. Now is when they are supposed to tank as usual. Game has blow out written all over it with OSU off uninspiring win at Illinois. I don't believe the writing on the wall here. IU can score in the passing game with anyone. OSU is a good defense, but not great.
311 Minnesota (+22')(-106) Gophers lost 4 straight games outright at home, so of course there's no way they can cover on the road. If only the logic was that easy.
325 Boston College (+10) Similar situation to Minnesota. BC off 2 straight outright home losses. Sometimes when a team has a losing streak at home, they tend to want to get away from campus and go play elsewhere and that bonds them together. NC State's defense melted down late and choked away a sizeable lead to Va Tech. NC State was +2 at BC LY and lost 52-20 and now they lay DD at home. Way too big of an overlay here. Revenge overplayed here and the O'Brien coaching against his former school factor. If anything that motivational edge plays into BC's hands since O'Brien recruited most of those kids still there and they want to beat the coach that didn't stay the full four years for them. Keep in mind BC has some injuries at QB, but I still like the play here. Decent spot for the Eagles.
331 Temple (+3') (-115) No Illinois off two straight road wins now coming back home. Temple 3rd straight road game. RB Pierce may be out again with ankle sprain, but Temple is fairly deep. 334 Wake Forest (+5') Navy was +2' at home LY to Wake and won 13-10; now they are -5.5 on the road? Bit of an overlay here. Wake played Ga Tech LW so they are prepared for the triple option. Tanner Price will also be back at QB for the Demon Deacons. 335/336 UNLV/West Virginia OV 49 WVU off a bye and their pitiful offensive performance in Baton Rouge. Perfect game to get the offense right here. 337 Western Michigan (+4') Ball State (winner for me LW) won outright at Central Michigan as almost a 3 TD dog. Now they come home and are favorites. Western Michigan lost as -11 favs at home to Ball St LY in the home finale. I've seen Ball St play. They can't be trusted as a fav over anyone. 344 Iowa State (+7) (-122) ISU got their offense back on track LW against Texas Tech. Utah is only 3-7 on the road against BCS teams. 345 Colorado (+13) Game 345 Colorado (+7) 1st H 347 Central Michigan (+22') 347/348 C Michigan/Virginia Tech OV 53' Role reversal here. CMich lost at home to crappy Ball State. VT came back from down 17-0 to win at NC State. VT's defense nothing to write home about this year.

321/322 Memphis/Louisville OV 51 Cardinals got their offense going LW at Arkansas St (575 yards). Memphis, after two blowouts, beat Mid Tenn St outright and covered at UTEP before getting crushed by Tulsa. Memphis defense gave up 49 to Tulsa LW and almost 500 yards. 351 East Carolina (+9) ECU has come back to earth after two wins to start the season. They hung with Va Tech until VT got a frontdoor cover late. They outgained UNC LW, but 3 TO's cost them badly. Game was a lot closer than 42-17. Talent is pretty even here with ECU and So Miss. 339/340 Tennessee/Georgia UN 48 Two struggling teams dying for a win. I expect both teams to have focused on defense this week.
353 Colorado State (+14) 1st H 353 Colorado State (+25) Game Ugly dog here, but not as ugly as you may think. Air Force got their first win over Navy LW since 2002. They put everything into that game. AFA's main goal this season was to win the Commander-In-Chief's trophy and they took a big step in doing that. They know have to win at Army on Nov 6th to do that. Colorado State got their first win against Idaho 2 weeks ago and only trailed 6-0 at home at halftime to obviously superior TCU. CSU is adapting now to the dink and dump short pass offense of Steve Fairchild. Air Force may be a little out of gas from putting everything they had into the Navy game.
355/356 Akron/Kent OV 47 Battle for the Wagon Wheel. Akron gave up 520 yards to Northern Illinois and tons of pass yds to Indiana the week before. Eugene Jarvis, Kent's star RB, is likely going to play in this one.
357/358 Alabama/South Carolina UN 48 358 South Carolina (+7) (-108) 3rd roadie in 4 games for Bama and So Car off a bye. This is the best Gamecock team Spurrier has had and they should have beaten Auburn.
361 Wyoming (+20) 1st H 361 Wyoming (+34) Game Hate to get in front of TCU here, but they have BYU and Air Force on deck. Wyoming went to Toledo and won outright (a big play for me LW). Wyoming covered at Texas and against Air Force. TCU isn't the run it up type. They could have tacked another on at the end of the game to cover at Colorado State and didn't.
317/318 Indiana/Ohio State OV 57 I think IU can score on this OSU defense and IU is very banged up in the secondary. 367/368 Pittsburgh/Notre Dame UN 50 ND's defense had their best outing of the season LW at BC. Pitt got a fluky over vs. FIU LW.
