189 Cincinnati +3

189 Cincinnati +3 Why is Fresno giving points to the better team here? The Bulldogs who were 8-5 last year do return 15 starters but how many games did RB Ryan Matthews with his 1800 yards and 19 TDs win for them. I'd say at least the 3 close games that they won. Fresno as a team ran for just 57 yards vs Cincinnati last year and lost 28-20. Cincinnati was a -17 point chalk. The Bearcats beat some very good teams down the stretch last year, West Virginia, Pitt, Connecticut, I don't think Fresno could beat any of those teams this year. Cincinnati QB Zach Collaros another dual threat talented Jr, filled in nicely for often injured Tony Pike. They also picked up 6' 3" 210 Sr WR Vidal Hazelton from USC to complement a strong receiving core. Defensively the Bulldogs are a mess surrendering 414 ypg and 6.0 ypc., which ranked them 111th vs the run and 99th in Total Defense. Not much improvement on the horizon as HC Pat Hill moved Sec Coach Randy Stewart to Def Co-coordinator.
agree this line seems backwards, ever poll and power ranking has Cincy ranked much higher than Fresno... i already bet Cincy ML but if its up to 3 now might bet the spread to. i dont see the fall for cincy, loss of head coach and pike, as big a loss as frseno losing matthews
Agree completely. I watched Collaros play last year and felt he was a better fit in that scheme then Pike. Not sure if the scheme has changed but Collaros is a pretty underrated player heading into the season.

I haven't done any research for CFB, so I have no idea myself. But that's definitely something to look at. If there was a major overhaul and players aren't adjusting well, I would think that would justify giving less consideration to last year's statistics, performances down the stretch, etc. Can anyone confirm?
