an easy way of record keeping is to use pinny's line at the exact time of the post.
Can't always post anywhere near when you bet. Fezzik never seems to post at current lines, or at least I can never get the lines he posts at. Since record tracking isn't done, what does it matter anyway? There are now two types of folks who don't track... A MUCH bigger objection for me re Shooter would be having 60 or however many picks - clearly not much discrimination going on, just taking what looks good at the time. If it works for him, more power to him, but it doesn't help me a lick and that's what I am here for. 38-20 or what ever it was is a great week, but 60 picks per week will likely end up very near 360-360 by the end of the season. This board seems much like every other board, except it costs $25 per month to see folks make random picks. Let's face it, I (and probably the lion's share of the subscribers) am mainly interested in seeing what Fezzik does. I'd love to see a separate page for Fezzik picks so they are all in one place and easy to get to without so much "wading." I'm putting the whole board on notice.
ALL of Fezzik's plays are at lines available at solid books AT THE TIME of his posts. The fact that the lines move in Fezzik's direction is a HUGE plus. If you like his side, bet IMMEDIATELY. If you like the other side, wait. ALL of my plays are from Pinnacle's line AT THE TIME OF MY POST! NONE are from my rogue locals. I've posted over a thousand plays, all vs Pinnacle's current line. Naturally, we always bet where we get the best line, but ALL of my posts are vs Pinny.
This points out my big objection to Shooter's causal attitude toward lines. IMO, unless you post current lines, AT THE TIME of your post, your "record" is questionable...
Except that this is the "Records are not important" subscription message board. This is bs, but that's the way the site is positioned. Anthony stated that nothing in sportsbetting is more important than keeping records. In the same thread, he stated that he doesn't believe in record keeping for this site. goose148900 - "an easy way of record keeping is to use pinny's line at the exact time of the post." True. This and a dozen other simple solutions are available. Anthony stated that there were a lot of acrimonious threads in the past on the non-sub LVA Sports over records. He feels that not requiring records eliminates the problem. Perhaps, but it creates other problems - see Old School's post above for an example. A simple solution which thousands of message boards on the web apply successfully is to have an efficient mod for the board who applies common sense and doesn't allow flaming and flaming threads which are personal attacks rather than attacks/discussions of ideas. This was apparently never an option for the old LVA Sports board, certainly one of the worst moderated boards in history in terms of stopping personal attacks. (For that matter, one of the mods would himself engage in personal attacks).
Fargn - "This board seems much like every other board, except it costs $25 per month to see folks make random picks. Let's face it, I (and probably the lion's share of the subscribers) am mainly interested in seeing what Fezzik does." Exactly. Would there be one subscriber on this board if this was not THE board where Fezzik is posting? But by positioning the board as "Not a picks board", it becomes acceptable for picks by Fezzik to be posted at random times on random days, so that the only people to have a shot at getting the number are those who stare at their computer screen 24 hours a day, refreshing it constantly.

jacques, it's 2009. use technology to your advantage.
Old school no offense man but some of those numbers you post are a little out there too. I.e. halftimes - no way to know if you really got them because they move 30 cents in the blink of an eye. At least shooter posts analysis so change your name to Old Woman or stfu already about it. To recap, analysis is good, plays at WA numbers that get blasted are good. Whatever you do or claim to do is, like, what-the-fuck-ever. It's useless pollution, but I support your right to do it. GL
if we're not record keeping it doesn't matter if the number's real or not. if anthony n fez decide to valide numbers then we/they discuss the best method.
I'm all for friendly disagreements, but I don't want to be the subject of fighting. Like Jacques, I am here to learn as well. I don't know Fezzik, but I know that he has experience and knowledge that can be useful to me as a sports bettor, which is why I joined up here. This board is the best access I have to him since I don't know him personally. Same reason I lurked on Beyond Capping to learn from people like Alan Boston. I also wanted to get away from the "clutter" that takes up EOG and RX and takes away from some of the actual good cappers there. I made mistakes by not making a more concerted effort to post when the lines are always available and will do so in the future. If people are here to read Fezzik's posts and play his picks, then do so and don't worry about others like me. Sometimes you play games early and sometimes you play late. For instance, I waited to get a +13 on Colorado State tonight and got it about 10 minutes before kickoff. I played it, but didn't post b/c it's not helpful to anyone else so close to gametime. I saw that people who bet Memphis lost and wanted to get it back with Colorado. It's also a heavy tout consensus play, but I couldn't get the good # unless I bet the opener or waited. I made a ton of plays this weekend, but will drastically reduce the # of plays as Ken White and the offshores tighten the lines. The first couple weeks present the most opportunities and then they decline as the season goes along and then pick up during the bowls. I want to be a contributor here, but I don't want to get into any fights with anyone. I will do my little part to ensure this doesn't turn into almost every forum and hopefully everyone else will do the same.
Ive never seen bw only bet like 4 games on a Saturday... He might have 50 positions. If someone is plus ev then you naturally want more plus ev.
