But we want to bet ON teams in preseason that are big losers the year before and with a new coach even better.
We want to fade established teams with established coaches in most cases.
Losers want to win in preseason. New guys want to win to "establish" a winning attitude. Winners don't usually care (with some exceptions).

Couldn't agree more. Depth charts for transitioning teams are more fluid. Established teams in preseason are looking to build depth and develop young players. They already know who will take the majority of regular season snaps.
New coaches are probably installing a new system (either Off or Def) and tend to give their starters more reps in an exibition. The challenge of creating a winning atmosphere can't be overlooked either.
