2005 all over again

2005 all over again I saw the ROAD teams were laying about 30 points this week. Cannot be 100% certain, but this HAS to be an NFL 1st (ok London game helped). Public favorites kicking ass.....books in trouble if this continues......
im in trouble too
im in trouble too
Same fuckin here and my thoughts exactly
PPH agents getting destroyed all year long (minus last week's abberation)... I know some guys that bet nothing but 3-5 team parlays ($100-$250) and only have 1k credit limits that are up 40k on the season each. I've been telling people all year that there has never been a bigger gap between top tier teams (Indy/Pats/Vikes) and the dreg's of the league. Squares across the nation are just parlaying 1H's of all the BIG favorites and sweeping the board over and over again.

in other words, the three year education I've had on what not to do, is now what TO do. Sad part is, part of that learning was to stick to my guns, and don't change up what I know is a good strategy. Anytime all the faves are covering, I'm in deep shit.
what's even worse is that the shit-pile of dogs aren't even teaser worthy. Not one POS in the bunch. What a fucked up day.
In all seriousness, how many points would you have needed to take Tampa or STL? I have INdy -13 at open. Took more today at -14. Have NE -13.5 -120 at open. Didn't touch either when 14.5 and 15.5 showed up. I like to think if 17 or 17.5 on either showed up I would have grabbed some, but probably would have had to go puke just after doing so. GB game - had -6.5 from the open. Literally had +9 clicked on matchbook today. Couldn't get myself to hit confirm. Some of these teams are AWFUL. I'm not convinced the Browns, Lions, Rams, Bucks, and Chiefs together could win the super bowl. I like to think all 5 together would be competitive. Sean
Interestingly, from the Hilton Contest leaders for this mornings games have: ic @ 10-1 picks + Fez chi @8-3 picks + Fezz GB @10/1 picks +Fez pit @15-4 picks + Fezz SF @ 11-4 picks + Fezz....even i couldn't pull the trigger on this one. The top few are batting 73.3% for now but look at your records for at least the last few years when right about next week betting these favs put you on the wrong side. GL
Agree 100% sean1. Plus when you have a matchup like Colts/Rams or GB/Cle the 1H lines are even lower and these big favorites just come out dominating early and then players don't have to worry about giving up some type of late dummy. Example: Colts-9.5 1H today? Was it even possible for the Rams to NOT be down by 2scores at halftime?
I have INdy -13 at open.
No, I have Indy -11.5 at open. I win. :)
