496 Pro Bowl UNDER 84, 4 weight,

496 Pro Bowl UNDER 84, 4 weight, In a recent Video I said you have to be crazy to go UNDER in one of these games. Total should close 81. Gotta be insane and bet this.......ok to play UN 83. Three places in town HAVE UN 84.5 LOL
Grab the 80 or hold tight?
This under so far has been a great idea. I wasn't following it but read an article on a basic preview where the NFL has been considering canceling the game based on its non-competitiveness. This isn't new news but you have to think that there is some truth to it. I bet this and lost last year and I think it was in the high 70's and that had to be the highest ever. I thought the NHL all star game would go under last year and I posted that. The game was in Ottawa and a key veteran Alfredsson plays for Ottawa really figured they'd tighten up partly because that conference would want to win but I couldn't see any Canadian fans really having an interest in a game like that. It is bad enough at 13-16 goals never mind over 20. The Pro Bowl I don't think has any team motivation to win since there is no home team but when I read that directive from the NFL that directive says "Play Defense". They might ignore it and it won't be 17-13 but any number in the 80's is the highest ever and I don't ever recall this being said before a game. If they put the number at 72 I'd consider going under. Fortunately don't need to make that decision. Quite honestly, some of Fez's best work is around these all star games. Too bad there weren't more of them.
The NFL said it wanted the game to be competitive....it didnt say anything about lower scoring, did it? if they wanted the pro bowl to be high defensive games they wouldnt place rules on blitzing and defensive schemes. no one wants to make a big hit in the games. gotta avoid injuries..... obviously 84 is pretty much too high (although the last 2 years have been 96 and 100 point games) but at 80 there isnt much value left

I think it depends on how you define competitive. I don't always define it in terms of a close game and I don't think the NFL is either. There are player safety issues understood. However, all the rules aren't in favour of offense. You've just named a few. A TE must be in all formations. There is no shifting by the offense. Heck an average CFL team wouldn't even have a play to run in this games with those rules. No 3 receiver sets same side. No rushing punts or FG. These are all rules to keep the scores lower IMO. The history of this game has lots of lower scoring games than an average NFL game. In 2006 they played a game that scored 40 pts. In 2009 they scored 51. I don't think we're going back to the games that scored 23 pts of which there are some out there but I'm talking 80 here. They can play under that for sure.
not rushing the punter = more focus on kick returns. you see a lot more long kick returns than you see punt blocks (not counting San Diego) not rushing the kicker those favor the offense the last few years they've played the pro bowl before the superbowl, yielding in scores of 75, 96 and 100. maybe it's random. or there might be something to it also, it's become a passing league so we could see higher scoring games....
Minus 4.4 on this stupid game. Dumb dumb dumb Vegas can post 100 on this total every year and people will still stand in line to bet it over. I'm glad I only watched the sat 10 real minutes of this exhibition
There were some moments it looked like under was going to get there in the 1st half yet that went over too. The 3 year trend is now a 4 year trend. Undeniably in the time I've watched there is general agreement the effort is much higher. The NFC D certainly seemed to play to a high degree of effort. There are a few plays under bettors certainly would like back. The Luck fumble, the fumbled hand off on the reverse return, maybe a play Wilson went on 4th down they scored, I didn't even think the AFC TD should have counted where the receiver dropped the ball in the end zone, the short kick off, Manning's TD pass at the end of the 1st half, maybe the KO return by Washington. I hear there was an earlier TD for a 5 yd drive. Obviously this will happen in all star games but we are dealing with 80-85 pts. we can survive 2 or 3 easy scores you would think. I think with a few of these plays just giving a different result I think the under would have been much more in play but I'm still not saying a winner. Just a much better shot. I don't think I have won a bet under on this pro bowl game yet or at least that I remember. I also got -2.5 at Sportsinteraction on 2nd half on this game. I think the line got to 4 to 4.5 maybe higher and that is another dead loser. Some of the plays that I'm mentioning above though of course a sharp bettor has to ask themselves "Am I unfortunate?" OR "Am I just not sharp and didn't think through more scenarios?" No doubt it is bit of both. The bet wasn't "players giving more effort". Actually they did and in some cases it hurt the under quite a bit...Leon Washington and Wilson come to mind and I thought the NFC made sure they stomped them. I have to agree competitive doesn't need to mean less points but I figured the odds were it would be a factor to be less. I think there were quite a few examples of that from the NFC D. But definitely Jefff right competitive didn't need to mean less points. I'll probably be under 87 next year. All of that happened and they only got to 97? Looking forward to next year. LOL
I'm just cursed on great bets here the last 2 years. Grande closes 79. Cris 79. Pinny UN 79.5 -113. People are betting limit bets UN 80, and I cannot win UN 83/UN84 whatever.
I'm understanding the math behind getting a great bet and beating the closing number by 5 points, but given the results of this game the last couple of years and listening to your video don't see how it could be worth 4 units. Of course if you can beat every closing number by 5 points you will make a lot of $$$, normally. I'm wondering how many people got trapped in the 2nd half line of AFC -2 1/2 opening and shooting up to -4 1/2. I think they would have attracted the same amount had they opened -4 in 2nd half, but that -2 1/2 had to be a big red flag.
