Add the Dolphins Coach Sporano to the list!!!!! While leading 24-3 with having a 2nd down with 1:40 left near mid-field and New Orleans only having 1 time out left, instead of calling 2 wild cat runs and either getting into FG range or taking all the time down and punting the Saints deep into their own territory, instead they throw a pass which is fumbled. Then after the Saints complete a pass down to the Miami 1/2 yard line with(orignally signaled a TD but overturned by booth review) 5 seconds left and no timeouts he calls a timeout when the clock is going to start on the ref's signal once the ball was set for play. Instead of being happy with going into the half up 24-6, his timeout gives Brees enough time to talk Coach Payton into going for the TD, which he does and converts. Miami 24 Saints 3 Sporano -7 Equals a 24-10 score at the half. And these are the type things of why top tier teams end up winning and middle of the pack teams let wins slip away.
WTF! He also screwed up huge in the last drive in the Miami vs Jets MN game. Somehow, Miami ran out of time with 3:18 left after Jets took the lead. Miami ran two plays up the middle, wasted their 2 time outs, and the 2 minute warning. Pro teams CANNOT run out of time with 3:18 and two timeouts left.
I simply can't believe this is a Parcell's run organization. Don't get me wrong...I hope the Fin's pull this outright win out, but this is as bad of clock and game management as there is. It was a bad call by the ref initially signaling TD or the clock would have run out in the first place, but once the ref comes back with the overturn and announcing that the clock will start on his command.... Why would you call time out when New Orleans already had rushed their FG unit on the field? What good does it do you? Even if you have 14 men on the field the Saints aren't going to take the 3 off the board if he makes the kick. When Sporano is over there yelling for a Time Out I am saying out loud: "Why would he do that? The saints will draw up a play or at least talk Payton into going for the TD." Sure enough the camera spans over to Brees and he is convincing Payton to go for it. God these guys are pathetic at game management, it really is embarrassing.
where is our ernie adams when it counts the most

Ive seen Sparano do plenty, expect it. He is, overall, a good coach. He has done a good job in Miami. Consider what he inherited. But yes, he does some clueless in-game stuff. The two worst I think currently are John Fox and then Jack Del Rio. Sparano is making a name for himself though. Rising star for dumbass decisions. The recently departed duo of Mike Nolan and Herman Edwards were the dumbest coaches I've ever seen.
Tom Cable is probably dumber than a bag of dirt, but nothing you do after usually falling behind 24-0 or so after 8 minutes really much matters.
instead they throw a pass which is fumbled.
how is that different from RUNNING and fumbling? not that i disagree with your thinking but you cant forsee a fumble. if it had been an interception or an incomplete pass then the coach is an idiot....but not much you can do about the fumble. it could have easily happened on a run
