Alabama -3 .5 vs. Oregon, NCAA Championsip game, who does everyone like?
Alabama. How anyone could take Oregon in a big game of this magnitude with that defense is beyond me. Still a BIG difference between SEC defenses and Pac-10 defenses.
USC of course being the notable exception a few years back when they had like 7-8 NFLers on the starting unit as well as a couple backups.
If it happens line will probably be higher than -3.5 Alabama would have Auburn and SEC champ game victories. I guess Oregon's defense could make strides down the stretch and keep the number down. But with what happened against Ohio State last year, I think the line will probably be -4.5 to -7 if they both get there. I'd bet Bama if you can get a future line on this matchup
What happens if mich. St runs the table. Don't they have a shot at the title game?
I'm saying Boise will get there this year because of the logjam of great teams. obv any undefeated bcs team and 1 loss bama get in ahead of them. i'm saying there won't be 2 in that category.

fwiw i don't think boise is the best team
If Boise plays Alabama in the national championship game, you can't make the spread high enough. It's like Cincinnati-Florida last year. Free money. Bama by half a hundred.

If I remember correctly, Virginia Tech spotted Boise 17 points and was leading the game with less than two minutes to play. If not for a complete collapse by Tech at the end of the game, Boise would already have a loss. I don't know who would win if Boise and Bama played but I'd sure love to see that matchup!
I respect what Boise has accomplished, but their winning streak is boosted by at least a couple of lucky wins. Not lottery hitting luck, but games that could have went either way. First off, they could have easily lost the game against Virginia Tech. Secondly, and I think what most people forget, is the game against TCU last year. The better team didn't win that game. TCU got beat by a coach that pulled off a couple of trick plays. The flee-flicker won't work while the QB is on his butt and the fake punt won't matter because the 4.4 corners will be on each end of the line chasing down the wounded duck passes. I'm not saying Alabama will even make it that far. Their schedule is a minefield of teams equal to or better than Boise. But if they get through that schedule and have a month to prepare, the athletes will make that championship game a laugher.
Auburn Vs. Boise Ducks lay an egg against SC (and I don't even like SC) this weekend and will be out of the conversation. USC gets revenge for last year's Halloween massacre (47-20). Boise deserves to go. Auburn running the table gets Bama out of the picture. What's the line on my matchup?
