I just remember losing some bets FADING this coach, so maybe I'm biased............
Call me jaded, but if you are going to run around calling out others as 'incompetent', 'idiots', etc, bullying left and right, making poker dealers cry, and just
an all around critical guy, maybe, just maybe you should be very successful at the thing you do..............
Great moments in Gambling history..........Good Ole Boston misses that NE is -215 on the ML in the SB and tells his followers to lay NE -7 (AFTER the line moved up from -6.5).
After NE wins by 3 (and literally EVERY sharp bettors win the game either with NE ML AND/OR carolina 7.5 -120), he reacts with righteous indignation when told his advice was bad. He literally goes NUTS to be questioned.
Nice job Alan. Roy Williams would have been proud of that NE -7 call.
you've used this example numerous times. certainly laying 7 is inferior to -215 m/l. however, how many times have you called others idiots for bets they've made only to later learn that they're bets were mathematically correct? my point is everyone makes bad bets now and then, it's not then end of the world. for instance your bowling green 3rd qtr bet -30 last week was wretched compared to bg pk 2nd half. also, you're nuggets series bet +255 last yr vs. lakers was mathematically horrible.
i'm not re-hashing the poker dealer incident. she was an incompetent idiot and deserved what she got. as for calling others bafoons n morons, most of them deserve what they get. boston calls a spade a spade and doesn't surgarcoat things. sometimes they get bopped on the head with a leap pipe other times they get tossed to the ground like a rag doll. no one's perfect.
btw, for the newbies here, this guy was as successful as they come. not even fez can claim that someone wrote a book about him. contests aside, you should hope to be as successful as he is at his age.
