Alf M's NFL Thread Week #3 405 Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 -115
Sure handed Charlie Batch gets the nod at QB and that's fine with us because the Steelers just need to post 17 points and the defense will take care of the rest. You could back this play up with TB team total Under 14.5 points.
Tampa has played Cleveland and Carolina which is an NFL team without a QB that couldn't complete a pass, while the Steelers have shut down Atlanta and Tennessee.
416 Houston Texans -2.5
Dallas 0-3? With a coach that is a consistent loser and no running game to speak of (cripes they could only manage 38 rushing yards at home against the Bears who have 3 LBs all injured and past their prime) and the pressure of an owner/coach and the Super Bowl in Big D.....many issues.
Houston if healthy is better at every position on the field sans the OL guard. The home crowd was worth 4 points against the Colts, maybe more in this State rivalry.
At the start of the season you could say this game is PK, but not now Houston has too much fire power.
428 Miami Dolphins -1 -120
Prefer to go against the Jets making their 1st road trip down to warm Miami with multiple injuries, DT Jenkins out, CB Revis out, LB Pace still out and C Mangold, DE Taylor, probable but not 100%. It was a tale of two halfs for the Jets vs the Patriots LW and New England with the lead showed they cannot run, but Miami has the horses and Coach that utilizes the clock best.
