Alf M's Week # 6 College Football Early Plays 108 Louisville +3.5
The Cardinals are an improving squad and they seem to be getting better each game. Sure, a 56-0 blowout looks good LW, but it is the stats and style of play the previous weeks that led us to backing them here. Rookie HC Charlie Strong is pushing all the right buttons and the players are reacting well.
Cincinnati looks good after a tight game with Oklahoma, however that was a sandwich spot and LW a dominating effort against lowly Miami OH, doesn't impress this handicapper. Their loss to NCST was very revealing.
Louisville's loss to Oregon State was a tremendous performance and that effort here at home with a Friday Night crowd should get the job done.
Take the points.
154 USC -2.5
USC didn't have their A game LW at Stanford and still almost came through with a win. They traveled with less than 60 players due to injury and this week we expect at least 100 on the field Saturday. A large portion of those left behind were on defense.

113 Army +7
We'll ride the Army train again this week and gladly take the full TD. I made Rutgers -3 and that's a pure power rating number as this game is being held at the new Giants Stadium where both teams will have plenty of support.
Rutgers will go with FR QB Chas Dodd who was sharp vs U Conn, but not so sharp vs Tulane. The same Tulane (common opponent Rutgers lost 17-16) team that just lost to Army 41-23.
Rutger's won LY 27-10 as a 10 pt favorite, hard to believe we are still getting 7 pts. This Army team playing for revenge is much more advanced, has multiple play makers and pushing hard to get to their first Bowl Game since '96.
Take the points.
177 Oklahoma St +3.5
This is a play against T Tech's defense. They have given up over the past two weeks 90 points and 948 yards to Iowa State and Baylor!
Now in comes OK State who ranks No. #4 in the Nation on Offense. Common sense handicapping here at it's finest.
Also, never underestimate the power and heart of an undefeated team. LSU... LW surely was a good example.
Take the points.
187 Ohio State -3 -125
Much can be made that Camp Randall at night is going to be a tough spot for any team, but "THE" Ohio State University is now the No.#1 team in the Nation. I like to gauge teams on how they perform against top competition and the Badgers fails miserably vs. Mich St, who I think is overrated, and also vs ASU, a blocked PAT gets them the win....?
Ohio State has perhaps the best set of LBs in the country, (doesn't it always seem that way, many NFL LB draft picks!) and from a strength vs strength handicap, we do not see Wisky running through OSU.
Ohio State is 5-1 ATS this season.
Wisconsin is 1-5 ATS.....not a good sign.
