As the NBC Sunday Night game there will be lots of parlays,
parlay cards, teasers etc ending with this game along with all the props
that TV games have so lots to bet on for this one. Regardless of the positive
perception for both defenses I think that the total of 44.5 may still get
bet up some and that may make this a wait till late game to bet on.
One thing is likely, props on Anquan Boldin will be higher than they should
be and almost certainly will have some action there. Seattle is one of the few
teams that can match up physically with a receiver like Boldin and off that
big first game with 13 receps and 200+ yds receiving, it will be tough for the books
not to hang decent sized numbers on him. I project they go with 6.5 and 88 and
will be looking to definitely go UN on yardage. Seattle defends outside receivers
very well and at home even more so. Last year, no outside receiver caught for
anything close to 100 vs them in Seattle. Only Wes Welker out of the slot got there,
catching 10 on 14 targets for 138 yards. In fact, outside of Welker, no receiver, slot or
otherwise caught for more than 65 yds vs Sea in this building. They held Larry Fitzgerald
to 1 rec for 2 yds in Sea (4 for 63 in ARZ). Calvin Johnson caught 3 for 46 vs Sea in Detroit
so hoping you'll get anything close to a repeat from Boldin looks like wishful thinking.
If anyone may be worth betting Over on it may be Vernon Davis but will have to see
what they put up for him. He had a good game vs GBay so the shade will be up
on his totals to where he might be too expensive. Kaepernick yardage UN may also be
a play if they give too much weight to last weeks 400+ yd game. Also, will Kaepernick
throw an INT YES -125 or less looks good.
Losing by 29 at Seattle last year (with Kaepernick behind center) surely has been
referenced a few times at 49er practice already. SF scored 13 and 13 in their 2 games
vs Seattle last year. Against Gbay SF has put up 45 and 38, having played them two out of
their last 4 games. Big difference in defenses between GB and Sea.
