anyone else find this annoying?

anyone else find this annoying? Fez.... i thought u weren't going to keep tweeting all your plays.... yet you post your largest play of the season.... a week 1 (no nflx 2 unit play, but a 4 unit regular season play) and then a couple hrs later you post to the world on twitter? What's the point off havign a membership if u give these plays away? Anthony, come on... i know we had a issue with this before and u said u'd talk to Fez... the value of paying for this forum is getting plays that aren't available to anyone else... so we can get down on these games as we are able.... when fez posts these on twitter for free it screws all of us big time, and i for one am annoyed it is happening now for regular season 4 unit plays... in the words of getmethedamnball - "come on man"!!! anyone else find this annoying????
No, actually what bothers me is that Fez doesn't take an ad on ESPN and announce the play to the world after he puts it out on this board. The Twitter part is helpful but if there could be a scroll at the bottom of the ESPN screen talking about what a great bet Denver -1 would be it would help us out some more. Seriously, nothing is going to help Ice once Fez releases the play here on this board for you to get the play. If you missed it at that point you will definitely have lost several outs to make the bet at. Perhaps the Twitter release stirs up a few people but I would have to think some of the PK and -1 had already disappeared by the time it got to Twitter and by that point all were in danger of not being able to bet at his release number----depending on the play of course. If he releases a few plays on Twitter at the same time as on this board as far as I'm concerned that is like when DirecTV offers a free week of baseball or hockey to people who don't ordinarily subscribe and it is not a big deal to me. Even with the board I have found the Twitter release helpful to me in case I did miss a play on the board. The fact so many other people are getting access to it isn't as relevant to me as just being informed of it so I might do something if I missed it on the board. Obviously need my netbook on all the time to see plays on the board while I carry my phone all the time and can read a text.
i guess its your prerogative to say what you want but none of your analogies make any valid comparison to waht is happening here. Fez taking an ad on ESPN? DirecTV giving a free week? That doesn't impact me one bit if they do that. him giving out a play like this for free directly impacts the line and my getting on it what i wanted to at the line. You could simply compare it to another tout. the tout charges $$ for his top play of the month. just 2 hrs after releasing it to paying clients on his website, he then shares it for free w/ the rest of the world. I feel like A) why am I paying $$ if they are giving out these top plays for free just hrs later.... B) this negatively affects me and my ability to get the same or similar # when hundreds to thousands of non-paying-people get the plays for free. all i remember is anthony said he was going to talk to fez about this.... but its still happening... fine, one top reg season play i get screwed on.... i just cant imagine this practice continuing and me and the rest of the paying clients here being too happy
I understand Fezzik wanting to reach a broader audience by twitter, and I also understand the frustration from members here because they may wonder why they should pay to be a member here when one of the main handicappers is giving the picks by twitter. I feel the real value of this board comes with more than just the picks, but also the quality of posts by members. I do think that Fezzik should consider what picks he releases on Twitter and when he releases them, but that is just my opinion. I never saw the Twitter feed, but pretty sure it was after he released the pick here twice after he added uints. Any of the members here also could have released the pick on various forums and twitter as well. I feel that line was bound to move based largely on how bad the Raiders looked and how good the Broncos looked so far. The "public" perception (and my feeling) of these two teams is definitely one on the rise and the other on the decline. Combine that with the Raiders offense looking like they are going to have trouble again scoring points this year and the move could be conceivable without the twitter release. Not sure if Fezzik's pick had much to do with it. But maybe it did.
Not sure if Fezzik's pick had much to do with it. But maybe it did.
you would be pretty naive now if you did not think his release was the cause of major line movement
you would be pretty naive now if you did not think his release was the cause of major line movement
I will agree to that it probably did. But anybody who has watched these 2 teams through 2 games could look at that line at PK or -1 and bet it. I have no doubt in Fezzik's influence, but have you watched how bad the Raiders looked on offense?
Although not the preferred outcome, whatever gets this game to Oakland +3 +110 works for me.
I posted the night before I would have a big release at 9:30 am With the advance warning, and a two hour head start, I thought ok to tweat about it at 11:30am......... I can listen however. I will go with a 24 hour tweet ban after plays going forward..........
i think 24 hrs is fair... good thinkin fez

I will go with a 24 hour tweet ban after plays going forward..........
whatever you want to do, its ur service here. But as a member i don't think any plays should be tweeted period. let's put it this way.... i buy this service for your plays...no offense to others posting here..... if i know u are going to tweet your strongest stuff 24 hrs after release, i may not need to be a member anymore.... yes, the line moved from pk to -2.5 24 hrs later....... but i stl played it at that ###. if i get 1/2 to 1 point different on ur best stuff via twitter, those strong plays may be strong enough not to have to pay for the forum and just get the tweets.... I know why u are doing it (marketing) or to move lines more, but its not good for retention.... i know u mentioned a few services u are buying, though i disagree w/ 1 of them, imagine if they tweeted all their stuff out 1 day later but still well before the game, and what if u didn't get down on everything right away anyhow? also, really no difference if u want to look good w/ ur tweets if u tweet just after kickoff to publicize your play. actually it would help more, as people know monday night at 10:15 et that u have a big play on Denver,a nd if they crush oakland u get that immediate credibility. whereas the twitter folk may not remember back to august 21st that u had a big play on denver. so if its better marketing to tweet it at gametime then the only reason u are doing it is for line movement for ur own benefit, given u got down on it before u released it to us and then can take the other side.... and many of us won't be in that position cause we obviously get worse ###s to start with than u bet.
