Anyone know why Jennings had such a bad game vs. Philly? Dude had 1 catch for 8 yards. What happened??
Dude had 1 catch for 8 yards. What happened??
Starts with Asante Samuel as part of the reason. But, in that game, GB ran the ball for 138 yards on 32 rushing attempts. They only had 29 pass attempts, which is way out of line for their normal run/pass ratio. Further, 8 of the 18 completions went to running backs. One thing the Packers due relentlessly is if they feel they have a weak corner, they will pick on that person until something changes. I believe they picked on Patterson in that game pretty badly by throwing to Driver. Patterson was targeted the most times (six attempts), followed by Ernie Sims and Samuel five times each. Jennings was targeted five times in that game, second to Driver's seven attempts. Jennings started out slow this year but once GB moved him into the slot, where he can move on the line of scrimmage before the ball is snapped, his production went way up.
