The Appraiser's Report: Spotlight on Las Vegas circa 1975 I posted this before on the old site, but for those who love old time Las Vegas, this is very interesting:
In their quest to get mortgage financing for the Xanadu, its builders tapped Gary H. Kent to conduct a feasibility study and write an appraisal report. The report was a detailed description of the current (1975) Las Vegas tourist and casino market.
Given the economic vigor of the other Strip casinos, Kent concluded that the project would be a "highly feasible venture" if built and estimated its ultimate fair market value at $144 million.
The appraisal included loads of financial data on casino and hotel operations on the Strip, as well as photos of all major Strip resorts.
