Arizona BAD D? I kind of like the play on Dallas/Seattle under but I do disagree with the rationale if it is assumed Arizona has a bad D so Seattle must not be able to score. It is that Arizona D that won them a bunch of games at the end of last year. I think for most analysts it is a viewed as a strength and I haven't thought about where it would be in the league overall but off hand it has to be in the top half doesn't it?
The D line has pretty respected guys in Campbell and Dockett. I know the LB core gets a lot of respect although not really well known name guys---but have read really positive reviews on Washington and O'Brien. In the secondary, I don't really know how good Petersen is as a CB but Wilson has been a top safety and I think Rhodes is decent. I couldn't really analyze but I've read good things on both Wilson and Rhodes over the years. The results were excellent in the 2nd half of LY.
Perhaps you saw something you noted yourself why it is a bad D but I absolutely do not think that is an opinion that is shared among analysts.
Furthermore if the Cards get any QB play they are likely to be a better team than Seattle, I don't think the AZ QB situation is really that hopeless at all. Kolb has to have some upside from here and although I would have to say I agree Skelton is a weak QB they have made some big plays with him late in games. Kolb pulled it out yesterday.
Certainly their tough schedule makes it that winning 7 games still might not be easy but the team really IMO has special teams and a good WR core as strengths along with a D that I considered pretty good to win 8 games or 9. I absolutely think they could end up at 6 wins with a chunk of the probability but I know I read somewhere you said this may even be a 3 win team did you say in a post? I just don't get where you're seeing that.
