The big 10 sucks

The big 10 sucks This just in...the big 10 sucks
Big Ten has 3 decent teams that can beat anyone on any day - OSU, Iowa, WI. The rest are awful.
Iowa was overrated this year..huge disapointment... Ohio State is a bunch of cheaters with 5 players getting suspended for 5 games next yr. Any Wisky did another Big 10 choke job in a huge Rose Bowl game Case closed The Big 10 freaking sucks....end of story

Amazing how quickly astute opinions can change. I see opportunity to be on B10 now! Plus, your facts aren't even straight. OSU's players did not cheat... they simply sold some memoribilia for cash because they don't have any cash, because they have NOT been paid to play there.

5 game suspension Who knows, OSU head coach Tressell could be Barry Switzer in a sweater vest. NCAA said these inappropiate benefits going on for years. Jan 1 2011 might go down as the worst day in the history of Big 10 football ever.. The Big 10 sucks btw, osu is ofer vs the SEC in bowls Go bet the Big 10 and lose money!!!
A lot of these programs are Barry Switzer in disguise. So what's your point? I don't believe OSU is any worse than some of the others. I'm not an Ohio State fan, but it seems like you're singling them out. My Illinois team had some good years under Mike White - until he got caught. Regarding college football and basketball, schools make too much money off these sports not to do more for the kids that play it. When the school collects a few million at the gate on Saturday, they could at least give the kids some spending money IMO.
They get milk money on the road, don't they? I went to a Division II college, and the men's basketball team would get a little something.
Sure Ohio State players are treated like royalty in Columbus. I'm actually stunned Pryor needed $2500!!! But that happens at every big time program. Doesn't mean they suck. The Big Ten is a league of a few good football teams and lots of bad ones. Stunned WI didn't run the ball all day yesterday - idiots, but doesn't mean they suck. All that said, OSU/Ark is probably a no bet for me. I think they are evenly match (OSU D better, Ark O better), but not sure if OSU will care... The 5 guys either show up and play their asses off for the NFL or just sulk... Do like the under though as OSU's offense has to be a bit screwed up now and the D should hold Ark.
Happens everywhere boys. Tell me that some kid isn't going to see some tcu players at a bar and buy some drinks for them...if you want to knit pick that is a reportable violation. The story is sensationalized because its ohio state. I am a fan and a supporter of my alma mater. I actually own a pair of gold pants and a rose bowl ring from last year...never played a snap. Now I know for a fact the stuff I got was from former not current buckeyes and I made sure of that but the bottom line is there are probably 80 percent of cfb players from deep dark ghettos who really do need money vs a piece of jewelry. If it were me id keep the stuff but igve never starved for anything while growing up or in college because I has and most importantly was allowed to work for a decent wage and got support from my parents who were also educated and had the means to help provide. A lot of these kids we throw money on each week have nothing...literally nothing when they step on campus. I've seen it, I've lived with them in the dorms years ago.sometimes a free education, meal plan and tutoring is not enough to keep the lights on back home and when that harsh reality sets in you do whatever you can to survive.
NCAA making a mistake here (and in the GA case last year). I understand you don't want guys running around in Ferraris and spending $50k at clubs, but when you start penalizing kids for feeding their parents, I've got a problem with it. The fact these kids sold rings for $1000 tells you how poor they are. In this case, the NCAA is gonna send 3-5 guys to the NFL before they are ready meaning 75% of them will be jobless in a year or two. The NCAA needs to come up with better penalties that fit the crime. If you break into someones house and rob them, penalize 5+ games. If you sell a ring that belongs to you, how about community service or something else that does not wreck a kids career.
