Black Sunday for some Pros

Black Sunday for some Pros A blizzard of favorites, AND the two favorites that failed were basic strategy teaser plays.....and Caro AND the Gmen lose outright.....throw in some Bears teasers early in the week, and carnage for big teaser players I think.
I'm not a pro, yet. I wiped out a very good week and ended 2 units down. Anytime the faves cover like that, it will be heartache Mitch. Heartache for me. That isn't likely to change. Squares who have won for 3 out of 4 weeks chime in to tell me what a moron I am in 3...2...1....
you would have thought some of these old pros would have changed their ways after 05. I almost fell out of my chair this morning when I looked at my nfl portfolio I had bet this week and there wasn't one dog on the card, but that is where the value is at right now. Until the books adjust for how bad some of these teams are there is still value fading some of these dregs.
How bout black season for the catchers too. Got a friend on the east coast, he's all done ... They broke him!

was going to post something similar a few hours ago. very high rate of public favorites winning this season, especially this particular weekend. been a real tough go in the nfl this year from all angles. lots of jubilant folks with curled up, grocery receipt, parlay tickets in line after 4pm today at all books. old school's "friends" likely had the weekend of their life. the chinese call 2009 year of the ox. im calling it year of the donkey.
carnage for big teaser players I think.
How bad could it have been for "thoughtful" teaser players when the games were spaced out so nicely? With Giants on Sunday Night, Eagles on Monday Night, I contend that no serious teaser player should have done too badly.
The Giants going down saved the books ass big time.
I thought there were some favs that were great plays at the open to be had. I had Pitt-3.5, Dallas -3, SD -4.5 and Indy -12.5 in my plays. Sharp players could and should have had all them early in week, IMO. Does look rough for the teaser guys, I agree there.
The sharp teaser players got killed too. At least the ones I know did.
I've never bet a teaser, but before this year, I had never bet a team total. Now I LOVE them! Bet Ind at -13, the only game where my power ratings differed by 3 points from the book's line. Yes, my friends had a great Sunday, but still a losing week (destroyed in CFB). No solid book ever has a losing year. Ditto for any sharp bettor.
