Boise thankful to lose to Nevada....

Boise thankful to lose to Nevada.... Better to take a close loss when most of America is sleeping than to get beat by half a hundred while the nation is watching in the national championship game. On the same day Boise lost to Nevada, Auburn beat Alabama. Spare me any more BS about these teams being on the same level as the big boys.
Boise St & BS Agreed-tired of hearing all the bs about BS
If Auburn, OR, AL, LSU, ARk, OSU, WI, Neb, Okla St, etc played boise's schedule, 8 would be 12-0 and 2 would maybe lose a game. Unless you play three teams rated in the top 15 sometime during the season, you should not be able to play in the BCS championship in my opinion.
What if 3 top 15 teams refuse to schedule Boise St? Im sure they would play anybody anywhere but the "big boys" want no part of them for the most part. Having said that, after watching Aub-Ala, Boise and Nevada looked like the JV game. Especially as far as defensive speed and line play were concerned.

Home Field for Nevada was worth 5.75 points last night and as the game ended the commentator said it best, "Boise loses in the cold thin air of Reno, NV"...they were not the same team, gassed after every play, even the kicker couldn't concentrate. Now, Boise is slated to play Ohio U in the Humanitarian Bowl.......cripes!
The "big boys" have nothing to gain playing Boise and everything to lose, so why play them? I'm sure if the roles were reversed, Boise wouldn't want to play a smaller school either.

On the game-tying drive at the end of the 4th, they kept running it up the middle, and before many of the plays, the DL could not get into a stance before the snap, and the no-huddle offense kept them from getting off the field. Could not stand Nevada's use of time outs, but hey, they won. I guess that counts for something. It was in the 20s throughout most of the game, but no wind, which is a bit weird for Reno, but a storm is coming tonight, so maybe that had something to do with it.
Has anyone seen a different angle on the end of regulation missed field goal? Sure looked pretty good to me.
Not from where we sat, but Sportscenter froze the frame and extended the goalposts graphically so you could see it was wide. The scoreboard guy at ESPN racked it up right away, which was funny to watch on the replay last night.
I agree [QUOTE=MobileBandit;33774]The "big boys" have nothing to gain playing Boise and everything to lose, so why play them? I guess the only solution would be for them to get into a power conference somehow. Won't happen.
