Buying Points I know the value of buying on and off the NFL 3 is 23-24 cents depending upon the total while buying on and off the 7 is 12 cents approximately.
I can buy two points from a local and only pay 20 cents for the three and 10 cents for the 7.
My question is does it make sense to keep on buying to get onto the 4 since the effective cost goes down when the juice goes up.
For example, I can bet +3 on Jacksonville this week against the Titans. I clearly will buy it to 3.5 at -130, but should I buy to 4.5 at -150, or a better example might be buying up from 2(teasing would probably be preferable) to 4 when the last full point takes you from -150 to -170 or buying down from 4.5 to 2.5.
Another way of saying this is what is the value of 1/2 points on the 4, 6, and 8 because I can figure the reduced cost on my own?
