If I'm Bears Owner... 1) Fire Lovie/Martz (Both are horrible) 2) Trade Gay Cutler 3) Hire a clock management specialist
2nd that from burger and fire whoever called the reverse on 3rd and 3. Hellen keller saw that develop
No kidding...I was livid. What a horseshit call. What makes matters worse was they had the 1st down on the original 3rd down play but was negated from the timeout from the sideline. And why was a timeout from the sideline called? Because idiot Martz couldn't decide a play in time to get it called in, and then comes up with the brilliant wide receiver sweep to the SHORT side of the field against the speed ends of the Packers. Rams would have won 2 more superbowls if it weren't for Mike Martz. One of worst coaches and overrated offensive minds that has ever taken a breath.

Burger, Do you have an opinion on Mike Martz?
Burger, Do you have an opinion on Mike Martz?
Worst clock manager of all time and absolute worst play caller under pressure that ever lived.
He has a lot of competition....... There are some NFL coaches that after an unsuccessful 1st down pass ALWAYS call a run on 2nd down. ALWAYS!!
How fun it would be to play poker against a random assortment of NFL coaches. I remember well when Martz was the OC in San Francisco a couple years ago when on the last play of the game they did a short-yardage play with Michael Robinson ... from the 4.
How fun it would be to play poker against a random assortment of NFL coaches.
I would employ any and all cover methods available to get in this game. If it's a tournamant instead, and I wind up heads up against Norv Turner or any BUF coach other than Marv Levy at the final table, you'd have to pinch me after every flop just so I could be sure I wasn't dreaming. On a related note, no one is banging Mike McCarthy for punting: (1) in the 1Q on 4th and 1 from the CHI 36 up 14-0; or, (2) in the 4Q on 4th and 1 from the CHI 35 up 14-7. Maybe the 4Q punt is defensible given that CHI had its 3rd string QB in, but I thought the 1Q punt was pathetic and gutless. GB could have put the game away in the 1Q if they got that.

Most think they overachieved this year. Maybe the coaching staff needs a little credit here.
