Caleb Hanie Debate
I would employ any and all cover methods available to get in this game. If it's a tournamant instead, and I wind up heads up against Norv Turner or any BUF coach other than Marv Levy at the final table, you'd have to pinch me after every flop just so I could be sure I wasn't dreaming. On a related note, no one is banging Mike McCarthy for punting: (1) in the 1Q on 4th and 1 from the CHI 36 up 14-0; or, (2) in the 4Q on 4th and 1 from the CHI 35 up 14-7. Maybe the 4Q punt is defensible given that CHI had its 3rd string QB in, but I thought the 1Q punt was pathetic and gutless. GB could have put the game away in the 1Q if they got that.
There are not many head coaches in the entire league I would rather have than Chan Gailey.
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
I dont know, he came highly recommended by Bill Cowher. He has always been well respected in the league. He was the offensive coordinator that coached Kordell Stewart to 25 td passes and 10 rushing td's in 1 season. Let me think Bill Cowher's opinion or Burger's............ You might win in basketball.

He made some mistakes but overall better than 95% of the leagues current coaches. Theres nothing wrong with having a little Marty in you.
Chan Gailey... Couldn't follow up successfully in Barry Switzer's shoes at Dallas. Troy Aikman hated him. Aikman announced every coach he ever had in his hall of fame speech with the exception of one: Chan Gailey. At Georgia Tech Chan Gailey never defeated Tech's biggest rival, the University of Georgia, never won the ACC, never went to a BCS bowl, never won more than 9 games, and never finished in the top 25. Then he was fired after 3 games of O.C. with the KC chiefs the year before this season. And for those that don't remember.... I know Fezz does: Chan Gailey on opening day with his team trailing by 3 to the Dolphins at home in Buffalo with 1:32 left in the game and having only 2 timeouts left, facing a 4th and 10 from their own 1 yard line draws up what???? An intentional safety. Now down 5 (On purpose I remind you) kicks the ball off deep and Miami is able to run the clock down to 29 seconds before turning around and punting the ball right back inside the Bills 20 yard line...giving the Bills the ball back needing not a 3 point field goal to tie...but a touchdown with no timeouts left and at their own 20 yard line. This is Chan Gailey.
Icing on the Chan Gailey Cake..... He just hired Dave Wannstedt as assistant head coach!

I have been to war with this guy, he can break down a defense like no other, he turned Kordell Stewart into an MVP candidate for gods sake. He was the offensive coordinator of 2 miami dolphin teams that finished 11-5 and included superstars Jay Fiedler and Orande Gadsden." Burger - LVA sports- "He couldnt follow Barry Switzer (he won 2 division titles in 2 years). Troy Aikmen hated him because he didnt mention him in his HOF speech- WGAF? He didn't win a national championship at GEORGIA TECH!!!!!" All Im saying Burger is maybe he's not a great recruiter but the guy can coach. He's better than many of the current head coaches.

Yes burger, he had emmit, troy and irvin. So did switzer the year before- he went 6-10, so I guess he can follow in his footsteps. Campo followed Gailey's playoff teams with a 5-11 record.
