don't forget to add black and/or hispanic......

I believe players can report Friday AM & teams will allow them in... and yes, it looks like Newton to Car #1 is very possible rt now
Probably the same guys who thought Favre at 41 would kick butt UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Me thinks he guys to the Bengals?
Why?
The Bengals ARE dumb enough to take him.

Why would they start him? There's no way he'd be ready on day 1 and they already have 2 crappy QBs who can bide time until Cam is ready, which if they played it right wont be until 2012.
Apparently Carolina saw something in him that others havent and maybe he'll show work ethic and bust his ass to become an NFL QB. The Auburn coaching staff seemed to think he was that kinda guy and he certainly showed it on the field. A definite leader.
But he'll have to learn a LOT before he's ready. If Carolina throws him to the wolves in game 1, they're in for a very long season
Only 3 QB's have won both an NCAA championship and a SuperBowl: Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, Joe Montana.
Here are the primary QB's for NCAA championship teams since 1991 (either BCS or co-champs under old system) (excluding Cam Newton):
Greg McElroy
Tim Tebow
Jarrett Lee/Matt Flynn
Chris Leak
Vince Young
Matt Leinart
Matt Flynn/Matt Mauck
Craig Krenzel
Ken Dorsey
Josh Heupel
Chris Weinke
Tee Martin
Eric Crouch/Scott Frost
Brian Griese
Danny Wuerffel
Tommie Frazer
Charlie Ward
Jay Barker
Gino Torretta
Mark Brunell
Here are the Heisman winnign QB's since 1990:
Sam Bradford
Tim Tebow
Troy Smith
Matt Leinart
Jason White
Carson Palmer
Eric Crouch
Christ Weinke
Danny Wuerfuuel
Charlie Ward
Gino Torretta
Ty Detmer
In other words, it looks like these days you have a better chance winning at Roulette than you do winning a SuperBowl with a Heismann winning, National Championship QB.

how many of these guys were legit (meaning they actually got some real starts) starting QBs with more than a couple of years of NFL time?
Griese
Brunell....he has a SB ring :D
Leinart
Young
Wuerffel (i think???)
most of the other guys were barely even thought of as a starting nfl qb.
and as we all know, the Heisman doesnt mean you'll be good in the NFL. it means you were good at a lower level
If Carolina does play Cammy Cam for half the season or more, they could be looking at #1 overall next year as well. That could be interesting as there could be historic interest in Andrew Luck. I think we might have to keep an eye out for teams tanking down the stretch if he stays on track at Stanford.
