Cantor Gaming is going to ROCK the offshore world soon It appears likely Cantor is going to get approval to allow Nevada residents to wager from home. Once this happens no doubt others in Nevada will follow. The Offshores took this business from Las Vegas in the 1990s. I think Cantor and Co. are going to take it back in the 2010s. Eventually, the US is going to legalize online betting, and when that happens, I cannot see how more than 3-5 offshores are going to make it.

Sorry for the ingnorant question but I thought that Nevada residents could place phone bets or they used to be able to. Correct??

Sounds promising, especially if the live betting somehow would get passed on to the home bettors. I still fear the whole legalization finality will result in sick tax/juice for "legal" shops and customer alike. So there could still be a spot for offshores.

Nevada phone accounts are a joke Low limits, and they boot you if you win.
