CFB Week 2

CFB Week 2 318) Iowa State +7 (-120) I got beat by 5 minutes yesterday at Harrah's and missed getting +7.5,-120. It happens :) Iowa has been playing musical bodies on their O-Line, and yes they get a few guys back this week, but that does not mean they will gel. Gelling takes time as we saw a perfect example in the Oregon offensive line game vs Boise. Ferentz has decided to not start Paki @ RB and will go with the youngster Robinson on the road in a hostile rivalry. So we will see a green RB running behind a make shift offensive line. LW Northern Iowa passed for 270 yards vs Iowa and feel they will find it even tougher going this week trying to defend the new spread offense State will have on display. The Cyclones were led on offense by junior quarterback Austen Arnaud, who rushed for 78 yards and a TD on 17 carries in addition to his 227 yards and 2 TDs passing. State features big physical WRs, juco transfer Darius Reynolds, and Marquis Hamilton. LW Little Hawkeye QB Stanzi was sacked 4 times and Iowa needed 2 blocked FGs just to hold on vs No. Iowa. The edge in special teams goes to state as well with a very solid KO/Punt return group, and place kicker Mahoney who nailed a 38 and 50yd FG LW. North Dakota State rushing stats are a bit misleading in that they ran for 210 yards on 38 carries (5.5ypr), BUT 3 of those 38 carries were runs of 62,42,17 yards, so outside of those 3 carries NDSt avg 2.54 ypr. 1.5% of BRoll play 2009 Record Last week-----> stunk Halftimes 0-3-1 (-3.15) Last week---->Sides 1-1 (-0.1) For the year----> 180-151 (+47.89% of BR) https://gazetteonline.com/blogs/on-io...h-bulaga-video https://www.dailyiowan.com/2009/09/09/Sports/12738.html Good Luck
364) Southern Miss -15, 1.5% play UCF is coming off of a 28-24 win vs Samford where they ran the ball for 3 ypr. They have a new OC who is determined to run the ball. USM has held last 6 opponents to
314) CMU/MSU Under 53 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The explosive Chippy offense with D LeFevour was sexy last season and dominated the MAC. This year they come in with only 6 starters of offense and only 2 on the offensive line. LW they were held without a 1st down until a few minutes before halftime vs Zona. 108 passing yds, and 74 rushing yards for CMU. This week they should be pumped up to play intrastate foe, but should find it tough vs another very strong defense. CMU does however return 10 starters on defense and held Zona to 19 points in the desert. MSU was dealt a blow when 5th year senior center Nitchman went down with an injury vs Montana St. This leaves MSU with only 2 starters on their offensive line, and I look for them to run the ball as Zona did for 246 yds and get out of here with a 31-17 type win. Note also that MSU may be slightly looking ahead to Notre Dame on deck. 1% play https://www.cm-life.com/2009/09/09/ar...new-challenge/ https://www.cm-life.com/2009/09/06/gr...mu-vs-arizona/ https://www.greenandwhite.com/article...909060614/1099 https://www.greenandwhite.com/article...909060608/1099 Good Luck
388)North Texas +3 and some +136 ML I am starting to sound like a broken in fading these beat up/young offensive lines. The little bobcats were only able to muster up 61 yards rushing LW vs the powerhouse of Connecticut. On this O-Line they have a total of 7 combined starts among the players. Ohio was fortunate enough to be +2 in the TO dept. but still could not get it done. UConn ran for 5.3 ypr and I expect the same if not more this week with the new found running game of the Mean Green. Taylor made for this offense is QB Riley Dodge who has been running this spread attack when he played under his current coach/father back at Carroll HS in Southlake,TX. Even in his 1st game he started to look like a maestro, albeit vs Ball State as he threw for 23/33, 216 yards to 9 different receivers. The one thing that stuck out was the size of the offensive line for NT, led by #68 Kelvin Drake from Galveston Island at left guard. These guys avg~300LBS and just pushed BSU all over the field. I am calling for the SU win. 1% play@ +3, and 1% play@ +136 on the ML. https://thepost.baker.ohiou.edu/main....rticleID=28943 https://www.meangreensports.com/ViewA...clid=204787251 Good Luck

big rumor from multiple sources that Bulaga (pre season all american tackle) is out for Saturday's game. fwiw
add 330) Under 23.5 1st Half...1% play "run the ball or die trying", those are the words of Rick Neuheisel. We get a west coast team with a freshman QB going into a raucous 100,000 fan stadium and even little Ricky is smart enough to know not to put Prince in a bad situation early on. UCLA's defense gave up only 120 yards after the 1st 2 series vs SD St LW and they are a sound defensive club. Tenn O-Line should have their hands full. https://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2009/...after-ucla-qb/
Good stuff, Dude. Right there with you on North Texas. I like the unders in the Tulsa/New Mexico game. The Lobo new-offensive-system blues should continue while Tulsa is playing considerably slower than last year. u28.5 in the first half maybe a bit better than u57.
Good stuff. Played most the same stuff as you did today.
