cfl week 5 Edmonton (3-1) at Winnipeg (0-4):
Winnipeg opened the season with 4 straight road losses and have also lost their starting QB, Pierce. The backup is Alex Brink who is off a pitiful performance (9/34) in last week’s narrow loss to Toronto.
This is their home opener in front of a sellout crowd and, at 0-4,they are aware that their season rests on winning this game. So we have a desperate home team with a qb whose pro football career is most certainly on the brink in Winnipeg.
Edmonton, on the other hand, is in first place in the west after a blowout win (42-10) vs these same blue bombers 2 weeks ago ( revenge) and then a huge (8.5 pt) underdog straight up win vs division favorite BC last week (27-14).
Add in the fact that Winnipeg has 2 extra days to prepare (they played last Wednesday whereas Eddie played on Friday) and this all adds up to an OUTRIGHT WIN for the underdog Bombers.
I played Winnipeg +3 for 3 units.
best,
Londo
