Childress??

Childress?? Reports on ESPN of players wanting Childress fired and quotes of some saying they hate him. Any thoughts on fading the Vikes with all this turmoil?? Would think its a tough spot on the road.
i hate my boss...typical
I think the Bears are just bad on the ol. Not in love with the turmoil going on in Minny, but just will not play the Bears.
Childress IS an idiot Failure to call time out with :28 left in the 1st half with 1st down at their 38. Mind boggling....... Of course, the entire team must be brain dead to not be calling timeout there......
Reports on ESPN of players wanting Childress fired and quotes of some saying they hate him. Any thoughts on fading the Vikes with all this turmoil?? Conveniently, the Chicago Tribune "gets" this story the week of the MIN/CHI game, which just happens to come at a time when the Bears are still clinging to playoff hopes. This story may turn out to be true, but at this time, the credibility of the source is questionable. I personally would block out this information at this time when handicapping the MIN/CHI game this weekend.
Fezz ...you're absolutely right but......
Failure to call time out with :28 left in the 1st half with 1st down at their 38. Mind boggling....... Of course, the entire team must be brain dead to not be calling timeout there......
This Childress appears enough of a Pr**ck to make life miserable for a player if he did anything over his perceived judgment.
not defending this strategy but I think its this.... Coaches have good paying but high risk of being fired jobs. TV announcers spew the "get into halftime and regroup" stuff regularly and fans tend to buy into it. Fans, announcers and I think coaches too have some burned into their heads memories of late 1st half attempts to move the ball that resulted in a turnover and 7 points for the other team. Coaches are extremely overly fearful this will happen to them. No one after the game is likely to question not being aggressive late in the 1st half with the ball, but hell can break loose all week after the game with fans being upset at the head coach if a late 1st half attempt to move the ball results in a pick 6. Fans turning against the coach, thinking he is stupid, cost them the game when he could have "regrouped" instead means coach moves farther down the line towards being fired and coaches already on a hot seat are very concerned with anything that could get them fired.
