Boise State gets no respect after an undefeated season and returns 20 starters, more than any team in the country. They have a greater % of lettermen, returning experience and % of yards gained returning than any team as well. Boise beat Oregon and TCU and those two teams looked pretty good here in Week One.
HC Chris Peterson has lost just 4 games in 4 years. Cannot believe we are getting the better QB plus pts now. Kellen Moore pitches and easy tosses the football, he's a sure fire NFL QB.
Virginia Tech has a solid offense, but the defense has major holes. They return just 4 starters on DEF and must replace 3 of the 4 DL. Their top tackler LB Rivers has a torn quad, and 2 more LBs are on the injured list. In both full scrimmages this fall the offense has dominated the defense, apparently it has been very difficult to plug in bodies on the Front 7......see notes at HokieHaven.com
VT known for it's special teams has a redshirt freshman at both PK and K.
Yes, Boise is traveling across the planet to Fed Ex field and the Hokies have the HF advantage. However, Boise is still very quick on grass and has been practicing in a "man made sauna" to simulate humid conditions inside their sports complex.
VT has gotten off to a slow start losing both opening games L2Y to East Carolina and Alabama.
I don't see VT stopping the Boise train, too many weapons and always great play calling.
