College Football OT rules, suggest change

College Football OT rules, suggest change The rules are good, with 1 problem, you can play 7 OTS! Bad for the kids, game goes too long, etc. A simple solution! Right now they say in the 3rd OT, YOU CANNOT KICK THE EXTRA POINT. Change this to say the 2nd team to get the ball in the 3rd OT cannot kick the extra point if down 1. The beauty of this rule is that we will know the 3rd OT will decide the game much more often.
only about 1 game a year goes > 3 OTs only 5 games in CFB have ever gone more than 4 OTs which is about 1 every 3 years i dont see a big problem. and your solution ASSUMES teams make TDs in the 3rd OT when it's more likely they settle for FGs my suggestion for a change...push the teams back to the 30.

I like the college rules better than the NFL rule for OT. The NFL should be changed so that BOTH teams have to get a shot on offense.

NFL would have to drop it's tiebreaker for points scored though even though I dont think it's ever been used. or disallow any points scored in OT as part of the tiebreaker system.
