College Football Season Ending, and the Future Does Not Look Bright on Sides

College Football Season Ending, and the Future Does Not Look Bright on Sides I am just about done with the College Football Sides Marketplace. Either I raise my game 2 notches, or i get out and just focus on totals. NOT a good year for me on College sides, and I have reached the conclusion that if I want to win I am going to have to stay up all night Saturday night going through boxscores in order to be able to fire vs. openers. By the time Monday comes, the market is just to much tougher than it was just 3 years ago, and don't even get me started about what it looks like Thursday. Look no further than the collapse of records various 'sharp' cappers all over the place, including but not limited to Dr. Bob..........
This year in particular has been ROUGH on sides. It happens every so often. Brutal. And like you said, it is happening to many of us. I always seek out dogs when going bad. Uconn+7, LSU+4.5...not sure Stanford in a tough spot at -7 was a great bet as you indicated. There is a long way to go and bowls are most often profitable too. But the Saturdays this year have beaten me up, as bad as I can ever remember.
How are you doing versus the closers?
Hard to compete against the greatest professional gambler that ever lived. He just doesn't leave much for everyone else. We move on?

BW leaves plenty, he bets ALOT on game day But he has a great network and some 'inside' information. I have to say I am AMAZED at how bad some formerly 'good' cappers have been doing. Sharpsportbetting.com is a TRAINWRECK right now.......they cannot hit 50%, and they are taking offense when I tell them their model is hopelessly flawed. They lost over 100 units the last 3 years AT 1 UNIT AT A TIME..........their response? IT's VARIANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I can beat sides, but I'm losing 65% + in close games this year. Still up 79.95 units for the last three years, all plays for one net unit. That is against Pinny or Cris. 50-65%+ of games ATS are pure coinflips, so 54% is about the best the best can expect. Touts are doomed by the unrealistic expectations of their customers. Try to get customers with claims of 54%!!!
the days of using certain on-line sites or in town books as guides are over. you have data mine, write algorithims n be able to weed out the rif raf. no, it's not easy but it still quite profitable. i know a couple groups that are crushing this year with a combo of sides and totals. in order to suceed you have to originate or move to a part of the world that has books with stale numbers. btw, they do still exist, it's not a fantasy.
Sense of Direction to grab the GOLD Greetings, Seems sports betting has turned frustration into fascination… Back when we were slaving to put out newsletters in the old days by early Sunday evening after NFL games were done to get to printer and mailed by Monday afternoon - most of the old time pros were ready to fire at openers. In fact, most had shot at early firing lines at halftime of second NFL contest all way up till Stardust shuffled up and deal to those waiting for positioning. Laws of probability catches up in any markets, Wall Street, Real Estate, Forex Markets, etc. Those willing to pay the price usually are ones that improvise, adapt, and overcome. Seems there are some hard working solid pros on this forum, so if staying up Saturday night or working all day Sunday to prepare for Openers… Maybe that is sense of direction to follow if serious about generating a living from this endeavor. College Football only lasts 14 or 15 weeks tops in regular season -- not like your going to ruin your life. I had a major Forex project that has taken six years and six figures of programming to develop that just launched and my time has been limited… Yoda spent the entire season handicapping Pac-10 Football only and trading. I still had a winning football season as I’m sure many pros here. The problem is most may of not generated as much funds as years past… That is called the Laws of Probability for the real 54% winners. So you have a choice, (I usually do my work on Sundays this year due to markets being closed till tonight in Forex) continue down current road or change your sense of direction. Work smarter, not harder -- If staying up the weekend is solution -- you are able to take days off during the week unless of course your covering 300+ College Basketball teams or NBA, NHL, etc. That is when the true champions rise to top of the mountain. My two cents as I prepare for next week -- Obi One proud Dad of Yoda who has a bright future if he stays away from cheerleaders and strippers on the road… Not necessarily in that order. Obi One over and Out
But he has a great network and some 'inside' information.
This is the most important part of the thread - the inside info from the nfl training ground/ college campuses, the locker rooms and injury table is the stuff to get hold of.... finding out the coaching staffs motivations for cetain games etc - it's all available but its very hard to get.. Throw that stuff altogether with the game analysis and you get postive expectation
