OS, Fantastic pick! It will be my biggest bet of the day as well on Sat. I absolutely LOVE Cal in the opening week for three reasons: 1. Maryland traveling cross-country for their FIRST game of the season. 2. Maryland DESTROYED Cal last year in Maryland, and Cal no doubt is hungry for serious revenge. 3. Maryland is going to be a lot worse than people think this season.

I've got ALOT of CAL.......ALOT OF Cal But I bet this -17 up to -18.5 .......having said this, it's one heck of a 'good story'. Line should go UP UP UP

I bet it at -17 as well. If this goes up to 23 or 24, I gotta come over the top with the Terps. The cross-country thing will effect Maryland less b/c it's the season opener and they've had time to prep and I think Eastern teams are less affected by the time difference than Cal, who had to play at 9 AM last year. Also, this matchup was in week 3 last year. Cal was off a good home win over Michigan St and beating Wash St 66-3. Cal was clearly overconfident.

Yeah, have to agree with edsherpa. Sounds like everyone and his brother was on CAL at various numbers far below 21 1/2 but didn't hear about it until Old School posted. Oh, well. Hard to justify now, for whatever that's worth, but I thank Old School in any case.

Nothing wrong with CAL-21 IMO OR -21.5 -103 ....as I've explained to others, a-ok to lay -66 on games opening -12 if the line closes -68.5
