Continued Warning to all about Offshore Accounts.

Continued Warning to all about Offshore Accounts. Easy for me to say living in Las Vegas, but with a deep recession, not a good time to have ANY signficant money in the offshore world at ANY place. Financially, maybe Pinnacle, CRIS books, and Greek Books are sound. After that, I'd rate most of them 'junk' bonds, and treat any investment with them as such. Be careful out there.

Give me the 1-2c lines at MB with a small chance of getting stiffed vs. the 20c lines in Vegas at this point in my life and I'll take the Matchbook every time (less if you're making offers which I do).
Do the casinos pay you Vegas guys to post this sort of alarmist stuff? Cause when someone like yourself says it... some schmucks that read these (and other boards) take it as if you know something. When truth is you're only speculating.
As someone who has been trying to get his money out of WSEX for 13 months, I would have to say Fez is onto something.

WSEX is bad news... However, there are plenty of books offshore many more than what Fez mentioned that are safe and have been in business for years.
Could you name a few? Maybe a few that make it easy for one to get money down to them. Significant money I should have said.
Pinny, Cris, Greek, Grande (if they take postup) safer than US banks, before insurance. Agree with Fezz about other outfits, although I'm sure there are some with the same ethical standards as the big 3.
I live and work in CR, without touting names there are quite a few more places that your funds are safe with. Getting your money in is subjective... might be hard for you, but when I lived in the South Eastern US sending offshore was/is a lot easier than booking a flight and hotel to Vegas just to get down.

Anyone have thoughts on Bookmaker? They have been calling frequently to get more of my business. Would appreciate any comments.
