Dr. Rob's Plays and Line Movement
The sports betting marketplace has changed dramatically. Look no further than SSB. 2000-2004. ALOT of winning 2005-2009 DOWN 100 units. No reaction. No adjustment. Just blame variance.........when 'everyone' sharp knows it's all over under their current model. No chance they will win going forward.
Agree 100% with this. It's a WAR between the sharps and the books (the squares will always lose). The books have clearly adjusted, the "sharps" MUST also adjust. Look at how quickly the books raised the line on favorites in the NFL. They clearly remember 2005. Most said my power ratings had a too large gap between the top and bottom teams, but there are only two spreads where my line differs from Cris' by two points (Indianapolis and Chicago).
What is SSB, thanks

NFL really started changing in 2002. Took a few years to see it clearly due to the small sample size.

And I mean the game itself; not just the market.
Totally agree with Fezzik here. Other than hockey (where I happily follow) I find myself fading SSB on about 75% of their plays these days - unfortunately no longer a half point or so better. Times have changed. It's not variance. The internet and availability of information has changed the market.
