Edmonton/BC CFL on Saturday This is an important game in determining who wins the Western conference. If Edmonton wins, they win the conference. If BC wins the teams will be tied but BC will have a tiebreaker advantage but there is still one more game to play. BC will have to beat Montreal to guarantee a conference win in this case and this would be a home game for them.
I bet Edmonton +5 but I've noticed it has gone down right away to +4.5 where I bet it but Greek still has 5 if anyone agrees with this play. Pinnacle is offering no line on this game at the moment.
BC has a rash of injuries which effected them last week and they lost to Hamilton. Now they are getting a few guys back I think but their QB Lulay has a bad ankle but will play. However, there are a couple of offensive playmakers who are out and they have signed a few guys literally out of retirement I think to fill their roster spots.
It is a big deal to finish 1st since they would get the bye in the playoffs and only need the one win to advance to the Grey Cup. But it does seem that they are a little wounded here and might be better served by getting healthy and after winning 8 in a row and then losing.....well it is an old line but it might be time to lose another one.
I like EDM with the +5 but I guess I'm saying they might be a good bet here down to +3 or even less. The fact Pinnacle isn't dealing the game tells me that they might be thinking that they're not sure where this line should be. Perhaps even a little worried that BC could make a QB change if Lulay isn't really healthy. Or the other injuries are severe. Or that BC might treat this in not the same fashion one would expect from a team fighting for 1st place.
Could the wrong team be even favoured here? I just throw this out there. I don't have the answer all I have is enough to bet a little Edmonton as an underdog. And of course will be watching what Londo and other CFL followers will do.
