Sorry guys, I am just learning this stuff.
How does the "eight of clubs" translate to the NFL?
The same as I understand it. What I'd like to know is how does it apply to hoops?

Same in NFL but some people use 1 point moves on the Favorites and Overs rather than 2 points. I don't know about Hoops but love to hear from Fez or someone else about that. Thanks!

As I understand it, it's only one point in the NFL, as opposed to two in college.
I've also read that you are comparing Tuesday's line with Saturday's (Sunday's for NFL), not Thursday's or any other day's. Some of us here are working with the seven of diamonds, perhaps.

The "side" comparison is from Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday for NFL) but the Totals comparison is from Thursday night to Saturday. That's per Fez. Avoids fading the BW steam on Totals.
8 of Clubs
Anyone know how this system is doing?
I don't have the total stats since the beginning of the year but this week it was 5-3. I play it every week and have won every week. Some weeks it's only +1 unit while some weeks it's + 2 or 3units. And for what's it's worth, I also play a modified version of this system which I've had very good luck with winning every week. For this modified version, I bet against a home favorite that has had the line move against it by 2 or more points. Example this week was Akron where Buffalo opened -9.5 and closed at -7.5. I took Akron +7.5 and they only lost by 4. Florida Atlantic was another example. North Texas opened -2 and the line closed Fla Atlantic -1. I took Fla Atlantic and they won the game outright. I also do this even if the line moves against the visting favorite but it seems much stronger if the line moves against the home Favortie. Good luck!

So you took the worst of it. Not a long term winning strategy.

I would normally agree with you but when the money moves against the Favorite (especially the Home Fav), then something is usually up...

Thanks Mobile! Anyway you can total them up to see what it is on the year. Plus one net unit per week overall is good!

Sorry ShowMe, but like I said earlier, I don't keep my sheets from week to week (probably should but just haven't been), but I do know I haven't had a losing week with this system. I also know I've had better luck with the sides than with the totals. Even waiting until Thursday night to print the college totals, it's still hard to know if one is fading BW's moves which I never want to do!
