Every Team should have 2 Ultra hurryup plays to avoid challenges How hard is it for a team to just call "apple" or "peach" 1 of their 2 plays in this situation. Both call for an immediate rush to the line, and a quick snap?
often even a spike is worth it but how tough is it to run a fast hb dive?
Evidentally it is different for bettors who have their money on the line. I can't tell you the number of times I have watched a play that I felt would be challenged (that was in my favor) and sat yelling at the TV - RUN A PLAY-RUN A PLAY. It is odd that the same philosophy apparently doesn't occur to the coaches. One would think that their desire to win was as great as mine or even greater. I only have money at stake. They have their jobs. Good post Fezz.
manning and the colts are the only team to really evolve into using the quick snap tactic with decent success. not only good for avoiding the replay altogether but also good at forcing a coach's decision to challenge without giving them the benefit of watching the replay.(see q1 ne/ind this year). its also good at drawing 5 yard offside penalties on substitutions.

I can't remember which team today got up the quick to avoid a challenge call which possibly would have gone against them.

Manning is the best at this and at controling the clock. It's fair to say that most coaches would not meet our definition of "sharp"!
