Fantasy Football

Fantasy Football OK, sports fans, Fantasy Football is a $1 billion dollar industry. This is open for discussion and I am going to try and answer any questions you have for the up-coming season. Hopefully you haven't had your draft yet. I believe that Fantasy Football has helped my handicapping over the years, especially with individual defensive players and their impact on the game. Personally, I play in a couple of leagues, one of which a Roti style CBS Sportsline Points League that we have had for the past 17 years that features a couple of prominent Las Vegas area handicappers, (Fezzik is not one of them), the other is a pure Fantasy league. Fantasy Football's format of head to head to me has a significant luck factor in that you could have a WR that produces every other game a 100+ game and your team wins only half the time. You know what I mean. Our members here at LVASports may or may not be Fantasy players? We'll soon find out.
Do you recommend any particular site for cheatsheets?
Yes, FF toolbox, Rotowire and KFFL are excellent. Also, Fantasy Football sites are absolutely THE BEST source of injury and transaction information on the web.
I used to be better but ProFootballTalk.com has good insider information. I use footballguys.com for fantasy football information and ratings. Side note, I've played fantasy football for more then 20 years and am willing to help as well. Our dime league drafted this last weekend. Auction/PPR- variant league. 10 man league. Rodgers R. Grant D. Williams R. Brown R. Moss M. Austin L. Robinson (wow i need an upgrade) Z. Miller (t.e.) Should have a competitive team.

great draft, truushot
I will take a shot at getting some discussion started. In my rankings, I have Rashard Mendenhall, Shonn Greene, Cedric Benson, Ryan Matthews and Jamaal Charles lumped together. Do you see one or more of those running backs becoming an elite rusher this year? On the flip side, is there a potential bust in that group? I keep finding reasons to switch my rankings around each time I look at them. My league gives .5 points for receptions.
Lou, I have Ryan Matthews topping those you listed. I think he will get more yards and carries than even Mendenhal. I have dropped Jamaal Charles down seeing Battle, McCluster and Thomas Jones get enough work and take away carries from Charles. Also, OC Charlie Weiss loves to use mulitple backs throughout the game as he did in New England and the Chiefs have a decent group of RBs. McCluster is a speed merchant dual threat RB that will spread out wide too and he is a sleeper IMO.
Alf, is thehuddle.com service any good?

More proven the either mendenhall or Matthews. Matthews does have the look of something special so far. I also drop Charles a bit but not much he has looked far better then Jones but he will lose carries to the other backs. Shonn Greene I have at least a step lower then the others. LT has looked great and LT WILL get the goal line carries. I'd rate them as follows Benson/Matthews Mendenhall (slight downgrade without the lecher.) Charles Greene Matthews has the most upside. Besides Greene, I think they all have a shot at being top 10-15 backs this year.
sorry haven't used that website........?
