Too much bankroll in play week 9 and bam! 45% haircut. Painful but instructive............

"A 45% haircut" - That's a good one. Mine was even worse than that. The first 2 months of 2009 were so good, I just kept stepping up my bets. Once you start feeling unbeatable, that's when bad things happen. For the f-ck of it, I tallied up everything that week. My "winning" percentage was 34 percent. Couldn't have picked that many losers if I tried - and I played a sh-tload of games, probably 70. A couple lessons learned: -Nobody picks winners at a 60% plus rate long term. -Lines get tougher to beat as the season goes on (in any sport).
