Fezzik Hilton

Correlated point: if you are NOT beating Pinny's closing line, rethink what you are doing.
OS, you're missing the point. People are mad about the blatant censorship, not the stale lines.
OS, you're missing the point. People are mad about the blatant censorship, not the stale lines.
I don't like censorship, except for potty-mouths like jon, but the posts in question missed what is crucial about Fezzik's success. Fezzik would be the very LAST person to say it is OK to bet Dallas at -3 1/2 instead of -3. I bust my balls to get the best line (spending a mere 40 hours/week), and I am sure Fezzik busts his balls to get the best line (spending upwards of 80 hours/week). For example, Fezzik posted Dallas -3 when that was WA. It's now -3 1/2. Think that it's easy to predict the line movement at Pinny BEFORE it happens?
OS-quick question. would you rather be able to predict movement on a consistent basis OR have the handicapping ability to formulate math models? yes, it's a general question but imho, very, very few successful gamblers can do both. most that think they can do one can't even do it very well. fez's contest success isn't a great secret. he does play them well but there are so many that play poorly. it's similar to a bj tourney when the sharps are betting table minimum n the squares bet half their stack on the first hand. a much more interesting contest would be to take five games/week vs pinny's closing lines. i understand there are logisitical issues but there should be a way to get it done.
blatant censorship
"censorship" is the wrong word. Something like "thin-skinned tight asses" is probably a better term.
PS I saved the thread and can't wait to post it at RTP once it's deleted.
OS, you're missing the point. People are mad about the blatant censorship, not the stale lines.
Anything that removes off-topic posts and mindless griefing (such as my post here) is welcome. I don't have time to read crap, and I pay $199/year happily to only read valuable content. The signal-to-noise ratio is all that matters. The value proposition of this site is that it is different from the rest. The deleted posts were making it the same. If my posts get deleted it is because they were not contributing to the board's greater good. It makes everyone else's day more efficient. This is not a public message board and should not be run like one.
The deleted posts were making it the same.
Quiz time: What exactly did the deleted posts say?
I like seeing Fezzik post his contest picks. He should just make a disclaimer that you shouldn't bet them unless you can get his numbers. In some cases, you shouldn't bet them even if you can get his numbers. He just needs to say which ones he would bet when he posts them. Deleting PC's post was silly. All he said (in a sarcastic but funny way) was that there was no way to bet the Hilton picks as the numbers are long gone (if they ever even existed). Deleting the posts make a mountain out of a mole hill.
